There is a paralegal who advertises in the paper. Will do the paperwork for you for $125...you file it yourself at the courthouse. Usually advertises in the classifieds.

Don't go there. The stuff that comes from there is often times inadequate. Yes she can do paperwork, but she cannot give legal advice. So if there is something in her paperwork that is legally insufficient (agreements require specific wording), she legally cannot advise you on how to word the document.

If you're willing to put in the effort, you can find the needed forms yourself at places like ky legal aid's website. If not, see an attorney retain their services. Uncontested divorces are relatively inexpensive.

I went to the lady that the first person told you about. I believe I paid her $150.00 about two years ago. I took it to the court house paid the fees there and it was done. By far the cheapest way to get it done. I looked into several lawyers and they want to charge you out the ass for maybe a total of 15 minutes of filling out paper work. Its called Legal Docs. She is on Triplet street and is in the phone book.
Good luck!

That is the worst idea ever. Those people are not licensed attorneys and it is the biggest waste of money.

David Taylor does like 300 uncontested divorces.

The courts hate getting papers that aren't from attorneys and sometime won't sign off for them. Hire a lawyer David Taylor and Rhonda Taylor cost about the same.

I did all my paperwork for my divorce by myself as well, pretty simple. Then took the paperwork to the courthouse, filed it and bam.. Now I'm divorced. Simple.

It's easy to get divorced-but not that easy to do it in a way that protects all of your rights. If the settlement agreement isn't properly worded, you can easily find yourself in court when some future disagreement comes up, and without the proper wording, you could be on the losing end. Just something to think about, especially if you have children with your spouse.

Why don't you call David Taylor and ask him? I'm sure his office would know best.
