We fell in love within 3 weeks, he asked me to marry him after a month. I said yes! But keep getting told how stupid that is. I don't really care, we are happy and in love. Just curious as to if anyone else think its a dumb move?!

It doesn't take 2 years to fall in love. It takes neutrophin and dopamine to diminish. These hormones are increased when people fall for each other. Sexual chemistry diminishes around the 2 year mark when the production of these hormones are reduced. Don't worry, the lust will become cuddles and with a little knowledge and effort you can keep it new.

It depends upon your age. If your under 25, I think you should wait 3 years. You should get your finances in order 1st.

I'm 28 and he is 25. His finances are definetly in order, he has his life completely in order. And it definetly does not take 2 years to fall in love!

Has his finances together ehhh? Well know wonder your ready to get locked down. What if he was poor working at Burger King? Would you be ready then? Live together for a bit I say. Then again ....I think marriage should be outlawed.

Actually.. I wouldn't care if he was poor or rich, I love him. I don't give a damn about money. Sure it helps, but I make my own money. Plus he asked me to marry him, I was shocked, but my heart fluttered and I couldn't help but be instantly happy because he is the most amazing man I've ever met. And when I say his finances are in order, I meant that he's very responsible with his money, not that he has a lot of it, because he doesn't, but he's not poor either. He has a very good career and has goals for his future, and works really hard to accomplish those goals. Don't be so quick to judge others that you don't know anything about. I'm not like some of these skanks in this town who are selfish and heartless. I'm one of the few good girls left in here. And I'm pretty proud of it.:)

Who cares. It's your life, do what you think feels right. I'd probably hold off the wedding for a lil bit. You start too see peoples true colors after a few months of dating. A lot can change till then, you don't want to get married and he turns out to be a total douche.

Do what feels right to you. My parents eloped after 2 weeks and just celebrated 35 years together. My bedt friend dated a guy for 2 years got engaged for a year and divorced after 2. Theres no magic number. Its all about a mutual level of comittment to make marriage work.
well
