I know a guy that works there and he said it's a bad place to work. He said most of the workers and management are lazy and don't do their jobs properly.

When the economy is in the middle of a downturn, and you get rejected from every job you've applied for, with YOUR COLLEGE DEGREE, you don't have much choice until you get hired on somewhere else. Also, I worked 2.5 of those 3 years while in COLLEGE, so the job choices were rather limited at where I was at the time. So, calling me ignorant when you have no idea of the situation I was in, is ignorant on your part. I suggest you grow up and realize that it's STILL hard to find a decent job these days. However, I'm thankful that I no longer work there, and I have a great job which utilizes my college degree and experiences.

yes I totally agree I'm in the food service business as well we need to start.a union stuff is gettn out of hand the way restaurants treat us. Don't get me wrong I have good ins but we don't get breaks our break is taking out sum trash and smoking a cigg. It's pretty brutal how hard they try to work you ..I have been in construction and that's a lot more laid back atleat you get a break to sit down.

I have eaten at the place twice and both times soeone else paid the tab. I think the food was awful and I for one will not be retuirning...just saying.

I worked there as a cook, never got breaks, they treat you like crap and that kitchen is disgusting beyond belief!! I would never eat there! I have worked in several Cracker Barrel's and they were nothing like this one!!.....they always have major health department violations when they get inspected.

I use to work there the managers were cool. One caught me and a female employescoping the deed in the walkin freezer.
When we came out he said. Make sure you clocked out for break. I miss that place.

okay guys, i work at cracker barrel, and i work my butt off there. i do my job, i dont take breaks (because i dont want to), managers are pretty cool about everything. and honestly if u dont like it, dont come. but dont say "all servers are lazy or screwed up on drugs" im not lazy i dont do drugs, and that about it for today.

I think the way to fix the problem would be to stop giving managers a bonus check for making labor. Maybe they could have enough employees on shift so the job gets done and breaks can be given.
My son works at a Cracker Barrel. Isn't full-time. His last schedule was 39 1/2 hours. Off 2 days. Worked 5 hours on a week day, 4 hours the next. Was scheduled double shifts Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Was scheduled a 30 minute break on a 11 hour day!! He is scheduled 8 1/2 hours this Thursday with no scheduled break!! He worked a 12 hour day with just a 1 hour break!! I worked a 9-5. We got a 15 min morning break, a 30 min lunch and a 15 min afternoon break!! My son comes home beat!! Do sad that places take advantage of their employees!!
