You know your wife is cheap when she promises to buy you things and just makes stupid homeade gifts. LOL..also if she buys her kids used clothes from yardsales and new clothes for herself...well thats just twisted!

My kids out grow and tear up clothes so quickly, its only econimical to buy them used, that way I wont feel bad throwing them away of they get trashed. I however, am done growing and not as messy, plus don't buy myself a lot so I don't feel bad when buying new.....simple econimics my friend, how about trying to build your wife up rather than trash her on topix

My husband brags about how cheap I am to his friends! When they complain about how their wives are always spending money at the mall, he tells them about how I'm always looking for things we need at thrift stores and yard sales. If I can't make it myself, I try to find it used and in good shape. If I can't find it used, I'll try to find it on sale. Why would you want your wife to spend more than she has to on things? Yes, my kids wear clothes from thrift stores. I do too. But they're never stained, torn, out of fashion or in bad shape. There is nothing wrong with being thrifty. It keeps us out of debt.

I think u guys are missing the point. Theres a difference in being cheap and not showering your man with gifts. In a relationship, marriage or whatever, it would be common courtesy for the woman at least once to offer to pay for a meal. ie say the husband goes through taco bell and leaves his wallet at home..STEP UP AND OFFER TO PAY FOR IT!!!
Also don't lie to your husband constantly and tell him that you found great deals on the internet for jewelry, watches, shoes, clothes etc...when you know your never going to get it for him. Trust me he'd rather have the watch than a homemade card promising him a trip that you know you'll he'll have to pay for anyway. lmao
Nothing wrong with used clothes for your kids unless you're buying yourself TOP BRAND CLOTHES!!
Im getting sick thinking about it. Bottom line...
Don't be a SCRUB and sponge off everyone else. Show some class and at least offer to pay for something!

you just have an odd marriage. Why dont you share your money like in most marriages. The point your making has merit but the way your going about it is off. You sound very petty. Is she not giving you good lovin.
