"foodies" "baby daddy" can you get any ghetto trashier @single mom?
@Nikki, of course you're going to rally for government benefits being you have three kids, one a half breed mutt, and you milk the government for every dime you can. Remember, I used to live next to you and took you to churches to get food boxes when you blew through your foodstamps? Get off of your high horse before I bust your information out.

Why all the complaining? This is indicative of that grand Utopian change that Obama bellows about so much. Soon we will all be on the gov't check or paying more of out of our checks for those unwilling to earn one. Consider the obama family. They've been suckling the government's tit for years and always will. That has got to be a great arrangement, right? Obama will take care of all of us. Hell, look at how much he has done for us so far. No greater world leader since Fidel Castro. Except Castro didn't destroy America. This f cker is going to. Great, huh?

It's shameful that one man can topple so much in such a short time. Future generations will have so much to hate us for. Hopefully we can all rest well after death knowing that.

Why do you never "bust out my information" after I say something to you? I am 100% positive you have absolutely no idea who I am.

The best solution to the whole welfare problem is to stop giving money as welfare. Give 100% of that money to homeless shelters, and let people on welfare live there. That would be how they would draw welfare. By getting a free place to live and free food there. They would also be monitored for violations of the rules, such as drug abuse. But if they don't get any money from welfare, how are they going to pay for illegal drugs? They should get free job training and everything, because America is a generous country. Just no money, because money is bad for them.

And if they want rib eye steaks, they can try to convince the homeless shelter to buy them some. Good luck with that.

Welfare would be less costly to administer if there were less opportunities to cheat. There would be no need to do costly investigations to find out if people were really eligible. The fact that they're willing to live in a homeless shelter should be what makes them eligible, so there is no need to do thousands of dollars worth of paperwork and red tape per beneficiary.

That kind of homeless shelter used to be called a poor house. Cash welfare was intended to replace the poor house, because it was seen as a stigma to live in such a place. But if we don't do something like that, the whole USA will be in the poor house.

I agree, to an extent. I would hate to see that to happen to those who really and truly fall on hard times. I think there should be a time limit on how long you can receive any type of benefits. Being able to stay food stamps your entire life is crap. Give people 6 months to a year to get on their feet and then cut them off. It's ridiculous!

It takes at least two years to get an associate's degree...four years for a bachelor's. If you want to encourage the poor to get a better education, then taking away all help isn't the way to do it.

I never said how many biological children you had, I stated you had three, one a half breed mutt. You always tailor things to suit you. Also, why did you take off the fact you had three children off of your topix profile? Try and deny that.

I work and don't have time to sit on topix and reply back immediately after you respond, my apologies. Do you really want me to bust you out? You realize the amount of idiots on here that would love to find out where a single mother and three kids live. Here's the deal, as long as I don't see you being a smart a**, I will leave you be but, be warned, I will be watching.

I'm not a single mother, dear. Married. My biological son is biracial, but his father is biracial. So, he is more like a quarter breed mutt, not half-breed, if you want to get technical. So, go ahead. Bust "me" out because you clearly think I am someone that I am not. I think it is hilarious.

I call bullshit. It doesn't matter how long it takes to get a college education. That is a privilege to be earned, not an entitlement. Most people do not have secondary educations. They've earned their way the old fashion way, the worked for it. Besides, anymore a degree doesn't insure a good paying job. Many people know that. Build a better justification for handouts than that. My grandparents didn't have college degrees, but lived over ninety years and made it through the REAL Great Depression. They weren't spoiled and did have spines. That's the difference.

Getting a great paying job without an education is pretty lucky actually. And some people are afforded the same opportunities to receive an education.

The best justification for "handouts" is that government help is necessary in order to provide for the poor. If the government doesn't help, then who will? There are always going to be poor people, even hard working poor people. It doesn't matter if those people don't work at all or have three jobs to make ends meet. There are not enough jobs for everyone. Not everyone is going to make tons of money. Government intervention is completely necessary to help out those that are less fortunate.

Maybe you need to drop the belief that everyone using government programs is using them because they are lazy. There are hardworking people that use government programs, the elderly, people that have fallen upon hard times...etc.
