We are a young family. Not married but we have a 7 month old son and I would like for us to get into church and start living better. I don't want to feel judged and starred at because we are not married.

I attend river city and I LOVE it :)) the people are amazing and everyone treats you like you belong. They have a youth service and a service also for littler kids. And the childcare provided are by people who have been background checked. Bridgepointe Church is also very good as well. I used to go there as well.

I also thought wasn't married at the time when we started attending and we also have a son together. Never once were we judged. It's a very upbeat atmosphere with all ages. They have a children's area called Kids Town. It's awesome. I encourage you to at least come visit.

If you want a babysitter for your kids and a place to get lost in the croud and feel no conviction in living with a person out of marriage this sounds like the place to be.

3 years ago, I went to rcc and I really did feel it was a problem that we 'lived in sin'. I agree also that I shouldn't be 'living in sin' as I doubt God likes it, I'm a self-proclaimed christian, so I should follow God's will.

If you have questions about a church and what there beliefs are and how they conduct services I would say read this passage first. Isaiah 65:2-6. ONce you do this go visit and see if it is a church that fits what these proclamed christians were doing. They were trying to fit what they thought the world thought christianity was and how to act.

I say just go and see for yourself. And go twice. I have gone there to try it out myself. The people are very wonderful and I like that they even have something special set up for children with special needs. Personally I prefer more of a message and less lights and music. I want more word of god. I felt great about my kids having such a wonderful time. But there is nothing like going to church and feeling refreshed, cleansed, your eyes heart and soul more open. I never felt that way there. I would never say its a bad church. I think they do amazing things to help the needy in the community and really reach out to the youth. Its just not for me, but it might be a great church for somebody else. If you don't prefer that place just keep looking.
