I judge no one I read from my bible. I am a sinner but I do not live in sin. I ask for forgiveness and I receive Gods love. To be homosexual is to live in sin. Can you receive forgiveness for something that you decide to live in. And if so how. The bible clearly states homosexuality is an abomination. I mean to offend no one. I just want everyone to find Gods way.

I'm not trying to start any drama here. I would like to know where in the bible it says about homosexuality being an abomination. My bible knowledge is minimal.

I understand very well that the bible is against homosexuality however the bible is for slavery so maybe we should think for ourselves and not rely on a story book to tell us right from wrong.

Read leviticus 18:22 heck read the whole book of Leviticus It clearly defines what a sin is. The bible is the truth. Some people pick and chose from the bible and that is not Our Fathers way. He has a way he wants it done and we are to follow that. Checkout this website http://carm.org/bible-homosexuality .

as a man of God I chose to live for my father. Where does the bible promote slavery? As I recall Moses lead the slaves to freedom when God gave him the power to part the Red Sea. God gives us the wisdom to chose right from wrong. It's our choice doesn't mean it's right. People take what they want from the bible to fit there own lives. That isn't Gods plan. He has a natural order as stated in the good book. Read it with an open mind. Homosexuality is a sin. It is living in sin. Can you ask for forgiveness for that? I don't know. Not my place to decide. The moment we deny the bible is the place we lose are light. Is not our place to judge one another or question the bible. But it is our job to please our father. In his way not my way or your way. His way. And to love each other with an open heart not a mind of openness and acceptance.

By the way I am a slave to God as any good Christian is. Jesus was punished for my sins. I'll take a few licking if I must. G2G

Do you eat ham?
Get tattoos?
Cut your hair?
Eat lobster?
Watch porn?
Lust?

Would you like me to continue? You can ask for forgiveness but knowing you are going to turn around and do it again is a sin in itself. Vicious cycle

it may say homosexuality is an abomination, but why leave out the rest? this is my problem with you Christians. you preach and preach and preach but then judge judge judge and then to top it off you hide behind your bible. your bible also says that having sex with a women on her period is also an abomination, along with touching the skin of a dead pig, eating shellfish and also working on a Sunday. make sure you're truly not living in sin like the rest of the world before you say that you aren't, because haha that's also a sin. sin sin sin sin sin, that's all you Christians care about. whatever gets you through your day to day life though, everybody needs something right? if your bible is true and everything about it is right then I guess I'll see you & the rest of the world in hell.

I doubt the original poster wants you to continue. Judgemental zealots like that only pick and choose what parts of the bible they'll use to judge others.

Zealot you say. I'm picking a choosing the bible. I do believe my question to the core of this is how do you ask for forgiveness if living in constant sin. I did began this conversation professing my sinful ways. I in no way judge or put down anyone. The bible is not my tool to use how I want. I do my best to follow it as I hope you and everyone else does. It doesn't matter if you believe it or not. It's the truth. A sin is a sin as I am told. But a sin is forgive able. I just wonder how to seek repentance when living in constant sin. Make fun of our father and his book as you may. He will always love us his children. You can laugh at what I say. But know this I will pray for you. That one day before yOur last breath you will receive his love. Pray for me believers and non believers I need your strength to spread his love.

Who am I judging exactly? As Jesus said "ye without sin cast the first stone" there is not a peeled in my hand. But it is my place as a Christian to follow his word.

I don't see forgiveness as a one-shot deal. But I'm happier being blissful in God's ever-lasting love than fearful in his wrath. I'm also fully aware that my belief in God has about as much premise as a religion based on Harry Potter might in a couple of thousand years. Made up stuff that makes you feel good and justification for doing what you feel is morally right- too bad people back when the story was first told kind of sucked, and had a marked interest in keeping a growing and already somewhat superstitious population under some sort of control

I also believe people should have the right to marry who they love, to create a loving family, and to be valuable tax paying members of their community, and benefit from the federal benefits they'd be entitled to had their partner been a different sex.

Picking snd choosing?? Not really. Can't exactly put the entire Bible on one thread. Just like each thread has one topic like a particular subject or someone's name. Duh.
I'm not without sin...like everyone else. God loves the sinner but hates the sin. But the Bible does say that about homosexuality.

The bible says it. Does God? Are there multiple accounts of a disembodied voice rumbling down from on high booming "thou shall not be homos" or was it a couple of guys saying He had caused some kind of horrible thing to happen because people were loving who they chose?
And of course, He wouldn't have made the horrible thing happen for any of the awful things THEY were doing.

I'm curious what passages are used to justify hate. Please, share His Word.
