All I can say is everyone is entitled to their opinion. It's just too bad ppl don't get out of it what they are supposed to. They say you get out what you put in but that is clearly not true since some put in so much time trying to look good and then still hate on a program that supposedly helped them. I graduated Lighthouse a week after I had my baby. I didn't always do the right thing while in the program. I made mistakes like we all do and paid my consequences. I love Ms. Becky. I love Ms. Sandy. I love Judge Castlen. I love Lighthouse. If it wasn't for them and that program I probably wouldn't be the mom I'm supposed to be hell I might not be a mom at all. To sum it up you have a right to your own opinion but there is no reason to get on here and bash something that has truly helped some. If it didn't help you maybe you should reevaluate your life and situation. Thank you Becky, Sandy, Judge Castlen and Lighthouse for giving me chance and helping me get my life back. Love you all. Not saying the program couldn't use a few tweeks but what program doesn't. You learn as you go.

Oh and by the way I am NOT an employee of lighthouse. This is my opinion as a graduate and proud recovering addict.

Why be embarrassed of being an addict an the ones tht put the program down sounds to me have a problem themselfs an dnt want help we r who we r an only we can change tht an pray to our higher power to give us the will power to stay clean an sober dnt knock us we doing what we can to keep from dieing an it is the up most respected program there is an if u dnt kno what's up then dnt open ur mouth cause u dnt kno u just spreading gossip an we learn to not gossip an I love the new life god bless u
I was the girl who was jailed for getting married. I have the utmost respect for Sandy Rich. Earl, not much. Sandy saved me.I totally didn't agree with A LOT of the rules but I know at that time Sandy didn't have the authority to help me more. I love her and will forever be in her dept. Been clean for 9 yrs. THANK GOD> Sandy knows who hard of a time I had. Not with staying clean but being treated so terribly bad by Earl. Personally, I NEVER believed he was an honest man. Power got to him. NOT SANDY.

I work for an agency that has a rehab program and it does costs a ton of money to house, feed and provide therapeutic services to the residents. Most addicts assume that somehow the government pays for everyone to attend rehab. I dont mean to be mean, but most addicts found enough money to feed their addictions, without regard to supporting their families, so they should able to find money for paying for their own treatment.

And for the poster who said someone "ONLY" owed $5,000 in back child support...that is a ton of money!!

I see a lot of excuses in these posts and it's obvious people arent taking repsonsibility for their own sobriety...sorry but you have a long way to go still!
A BIG AMEN TO THAT!!!

My fiance just went to lighthouse im not really sure how it all works yet but I can tell u after just a week it sets you up for failure of the bat they told him he has 30 days to pay his intake fee of $270 and he has to pay 80 a week and they signed him up on food stamps and they keep the card and buy what they want oh and even with all these fees he cant get a job till he has been there 30 days if u ask me there's something shady going on there. The food stamp thing to me sounds like food stamp fraud.

the program doesn't set you up for failure. people going into the program expecting everything to be the way you want sets you up for failure. the place is not funded in any way except for the fees. and if they didn't get food stamps you could add another $200 a month to that. there are plenty of us who graduated and are doing well today that went into the program without a dollar to our name.

Sounds like a deal to me. Most rehabs used to be a minimum of $25,000.

Everyone that goes there ends up back in jail on drug charges. The success rate is horrendous.
