I still say the a.a. part of it Is brainwash, but earl taught us about consequences and how to be a good responsible people. I completed the 12 steps though earl loney and no one can say I didn't put In work.....but the twelve steps are bullshit, all they do is tell you to be humble....you can say that in one step. As far as the meetings go, they are just a way to get some ass from girls that are in a vulnerable and easily persuaded state of mind....just don't get caught by lighthouse. In fact I might need to go to a meeting .....they are still at 12, 5 and 8 right...? Where the lighthouse ho's at

I am a guy and in no way talking bad about the women's program. I am probably someone who you would least expect. I know what I'm talking about. I think it's awesome that the women in the Lighthouse get to be assessed by Kathy and sent off to an all female recovery program and get help. I've been with in the Lighthouse program over two years now and can guarantee you that I do not fraternize with the women in the program. You are right, this is a willingness program but also a "have to' program too, if you don't believe me you can ask Judge Joe next time you have stage II court. Hmmm lets see, we "have to" stay out of stores that sell "synthetic marijuana", we "have to" stay away from people possessing or using drugs and alcohol, we "have to" make all our court appearances, and here is one that was enforced this week in court, we "have to" attend our classes and pay our fees. So I know all about the program as a whole and I am one of it's biggest supporters next to staff. I am there for my brothers more than you realize. Luv you like a brother Misty, chow.

When you say real people do you mean way back then when they were cooking Meth in the basement at the mens house? There is a difference between quantity and quality.

If you are looking for a food rehab I recommend Brentwood meadows in Newburgh. It is a little farther away but definitely worth the drive. I had to take my mother to rehab and that is the only one that that would accept her late at night. I was afraid that if we waited she would have changed her mind. It was a wonderful place and she really liked it there.

First the lighthouse program was started by Earl Loney and was supposed to be like the drug court with a residential option for misdomendor convictions. It was a one year program at that time but is now a 3 year program. It is a recovery program which means that they have no license or oversight from the state. Anyone can call themselves a recovery program. All of the programs around this area are recovery programs including ORR (Owensboro Regional Recovery), Friends of Sinners, New Horizons, etc. Oasis and RCD (River Valley) are treatment programs and are staffed by professionals and are licensed.

When Earl Loney left, Sandy Rich took over the program for the men and women. She has no creditials that would qualify her to run such a program. They exist by the "rat" plan that is called accountability. Despite what one of the writers says, they do go to the jail. They take felons now and people out of prison. The men have moved into the old Boulware Mission on Jackson Street. Guys out of prison have joined the program and they have about 30 guys total.

In my opinion, it is a joke. The relapse rate for the people is really high and three years is too long. My advise if to really think hard before going into this program. I do think Drug Court is a much better run program and only about 18 months long.

I wasn't there when they were doing that and I doubt you are talking a about the same group of guys.....we were the first group and had it the hardest.....that is bullshit anyway and you don't know what you are talking about...if anything it was that crackhead otis making shit up....you don't know anything about the original rosie house because you weren't there.....we remodeled and opened rosie house two next door to new horizons probably before you got off the bottle and the needle and straightened your ass up.

I'm the writer that said that. Lighthouse only goes out to the jail and interviews a person after receiving a referral letter from an attorney requesting that they interview there client for the program upon request from that client. It sounds to me like your a little bitter, did you flunk out of this program? Yes RCD is a good program, if you have the $600.00 it costs for a month of treatment. Drug Court, another good program. Hell I graduated Drug Court in 2006 when Judge Tom Castlen was running it. There were people failing drug test and flunking out that program just like any other program. There's one program you failed to mention and thats the Boulware. All these programs are not 100% successful and never will be. You sound like an educated person but may be a little narrow minded. Statistically, not everyone that enter programs like this will ever live clean and sober, some will even die trying. But every once in awhile a person gets it so that makes all worth while to continue trying. Don't stop until the miracle happens, thats all one can ask for.
P.S. Sandy R does a fine job at what she does so don't be a hater.

I hear a lot of crying about whats wrong and about what the staff is doing. seems to me all you people arent offering any better ways of doing things and if you want things to be different suit up show up be a part of the solution. my bad i guess its easier to bitch about the people showing up every day for less money than it pays to flip burgers. Its easy to call sandys credentials into question. ive got one 18 months thats how long she worked there before they started to pay her. its easy to sit on your butt and complain about the people who are actually doing something. dont talk about it be about it

I think you should re-think what you just said. I believe that the credit for your sobriety should lay with you. You did the work not anyone else. Take the credit for your own life and your accomplishments.

All you people on here bickering sound ridiculous. Anyone who reads this can tell it's the staff responding to the clients. It does not sound at all professional and to tell you the truth it is downright childish. It's embarrassing.
