Get on Kay's website and look at preowned rings. That I what I bought my wife and it looked brand new and was about a third of the price. The preowned scares people but they warranty it just like a new one and when they mail it to you you cannot tell it has ever been worn

Look at the website pompei3. They are one of the jewlery companies that sells to Sears and other stores. If you buy direct you pay less. You can design your own for her and buy a warranty. My husband had a 2.25 ct made for under 2k.

I agree with seriously. If she isn't happy with what you can afford, she isn't worth having.

In hell can you get a 2.25 carrot for 2 grand. A cheap 2.25 carrot is $30,000. Guess you are running around with a cubic zirconia. Lol.

Im with seriously and a girl. No size is to small its the thought and meaning behind it that counts. If the diamond was fake but the proposal and love was genuine it would mean the world.

I agree that the size of the diamond shouldn't matter. The 'standard' propaganda that the diamond and jewelry businesses go by is that the ring is tsupposed to cost 2 months salary.

My husband bought mine at Kohl's for 70% off, so you might want to look there. It's slightly less than 3/4 carat total weight, but it is beautiful and didn't cost a lot.
Its the presentation

Get a ring with three diamonds? Have a promise for every diamond. Maybe past present and future of the rest of your lives together. Tell her why you want to spend the rest of your life with her. These things are far more important than ring size. Good luck =)

No size is too small. You can always upgrade on your anniversary. Also, check pawn shops, some people don't stay married forever.
Good luck!

I would be furious to get someone's used engagement ring.

Not me. You can get a good quality diamond that is large for 1/3 of the original price

I agree. It also depends on why the guy is looking at a used ring. If its because he's just being cheap, that's not cool. If its because he wants the girl to have the nicest ring possible, then its totally fine, imo.
