I work in childcare, any center will have good things said and bad things I really think its best to tour any center in town and make your own judgement based on what u need/want!!! Good luck

If you are income eligible any of the Head Start centers are great: they are NAYCE accredited, STARS, they also are recognized as a Center of Excellence...all the lead teachers in the classrooms have their degrees and the associates in the classroom have their CDA or working towards it....5 full day/full year centers that accept children 6 weeks to 5 years

.....because the 'poor' deserve exceptional services at the cost of the rest of us right? Funny, I work my @ss off and have to pay a fortune for child are while some people get theirs completely for free.

Head Start is a federal program!! I didn't write the grant for it! If you have a problem with it contact your Congressmen!! You don't have to get all self righteous on me they asked for a good daycare in town idiot!!

I understand what you are saying, to an extent. I also pay out the wazoo for child care but I am glad that we have the Head Start centers in our area. They are doing far more for our community than most people realize. As an educator I would love to see every child in our community receive early childhood services, but as the other person stated you need to contact our local and state representatives. Without their support many children will continue fall through the cracks.

Because a lot of time the working poor have difficulties providing early education to their children...there are only so many hours a day and if so many of those are spent working or on going to school, where are parents going to get the time to provide early education for their kids?

Headstart is amazing!

East End Angels in Thruston is Wonderful! I couldn't ask for better service. Trust me we tried one down by industrial drive and bent tree, oh beginning impressions well let me just say after 1 week the impression I got from the lil one was scared to death something wasn't right when your child takes off running to you and freezes because they see a worker and then pulls your hair so tight because they don't want you to leave them! My impression BAD!!!!! If I could or would have thought of it I would have sent a hidden camera in on them so I could see just what happens in a day there! Not good at all!!!

Does this teacher work with the little kids or older ones?
