Is that the place in the same plaza as Saint Vincent De Paul Thrift Store at 18th and Triplett?

I always got the impression that whole plaza was kind of shabby. What is that tall old round building that looks like it's been falling apart for years? How long ago was it occupied? What kind of business was it?

That building was actually a Hotel, I stayed there back in 2000. That's around the time it closed down. The huge pool was at the very top!

You are full of sh|t. In a small closet, yea b/c roaches are shy. They will overrun the entire place and the inspection said they were in/around food containers, boxes, and cooking equipment. Don't make it seem like it's an over-reaction.

I am 24 and that place had roaches when my mom was a teenager. She saw a roach crawling by the grill.

That place has always had roaches. And not just them, the whole building plaza does. But its perfectly understandable seeing as how the st Vincent is right next door.. people bring their stuff there. Also the Laundry mat on the side, all sorts of people go in there to do their laundry. I remember eating there when I was a young kid (mind you I'm 31) and they had them there then too.

I am sure the people donating clothes and furniture to St. Vincent Depaul have roaches in their stuff and the bugs are just going to where the food is. That seems more believable then people who go to the 8ball to eat or have a drink come in there with pocketfuls of roaches or roaches riding on their shoulders. Sucks for the owner of the 8ball because I am sure it will just keep reoccuring.

It said in the paper that it was a gross infestation. Which means they were everywhere crawling on plates and French fry holders.
huh

Im pretty sure that the paper didn't say a "gross" infestation.... Although infestations are just gross anyway. But every place that serves food is most likely got some sort of bugs.
