Anyone else sick of these stupid yuppie jackets?? Usually owned by upper middle class people who are easily persuaded by fashion trends. Toss these things into the goodwill "trends of the past" dumpster along with the starter jackets and Columbia fleeces.

North face has been around forever. If you don't like them, don't buy one. I starting buying north face 15 years ago. It is a great product for the outdoors.

I don't have one and I don't want one, it's just a brand. I don't see why people get mad over a jacket?

it's funny isn't it. 15 years ago I would wear NF while hiking and everybody asked me. What the hell is North Face? Now everyone acts like it's some sort of new thing or something. People ask where I got my different colors because they've never seen that one. I say from a catalog, about 15-20 years ago and they don't believe me.

Actually people who like a quality product have been buying North Face jackets long before the "fad." They like authentic Coach products offer a lifetime warranty on their products. Not many other clothing companies will stand behind their products in this way.

Agreed. In the mid 80s their stuff was already popular with outdoor and ski enthusiasts in Colorado. They make good stuff at decent prices. Yeah, not cheap like China, but good quality. I never owned their jacket, but fleece and thermal stuff, a sleeping bag, maybe some other stuff. Thugs and counterfeiters gave them big notoriety in the media and elsewhere. Most of the turds are wearing fakes anyway.

I say who cares-- don't need some high price crap to make me look good. Don't have to be high maintenance to look good.

North Face isn't a fad, like Columbia and other brands. People buy them for there quality and looks, and yes they are expensive but you pay for what you get. The only people tired of seeing them are the people who can't afford them:)
