You have to have a pretty good reason ....

They would have to prove totally unfit..,. But most of the time when fathers sue for custody they really just want to end up with their fair share of time with the child.... Most of the time the mothers are threatening to never let them see the child if they ( the father) don't bend to her every whim!!

Yes that happens all the time I'm pretty sure I can prove her unfit she's had a record of social services but hasn't had any problems in a while she is very unstable moves from house to house and cant keep a job just hoping that will be enough I've been wanting this since we split up but worried that I will waste thousands of dollars on nothing

you will be wasting money. The most they'll grant you, from what you have said, is joint custody. Unless you have actually evidence of (for example) drugs in the house around the child or abuse/neglect, they won't take the child away from her. And by proof, I was told they won't do anything unless the child is actually "harmed" while in her care. Hear say and even your word doesn't count in court.

I tried and spent thousands of dollars and had what many called an "air tight" case. In the end, she won. I have very good visitation rights, but she still has primary residence. Save your money.

Good luck if she is unfit then you need to do what is best for your child. There is a 50/50 chance that you will win. You won't know till you try and a stable place to live and a reliable job is going to be in your favor.

My attorney is Mark Phiefer and is decent but I really really wanted Candy Englebart(sp)... I've heard from many that she is the best of the best but her retainer fee is 3k... Another good one is Matt Tierney but not sure what cases he handles, I couldn't get him cuz of conflict of interest but as far as ne getting advice, he's been very very helpful FOR FREE and knows his stuff... Good luck

candy is not a good attorney to call. she has so much going on and never takes calls or answers questions. she will hound you for more money after doing nothing. my brothers case sat on her desk for over a year and nothing had been done or filed. when he called he got the runaround for almost 5 months. she is also a drinker. saw her at the miller house, nikos, and famous bistro and all 3 times she and her friends were lit. call frank bronato

You won't win bc the mother is very stable and has a permanent job and takes car of the child she has a boyfriend that she's engaged to and lives with and your never home always off partying or playing military boy you lost your case to even get visitation last time you took her to court so why would they give you custody you don't even want your child half the time or pay for his childcare your girlfriend takes care of your child when hes at your house but all I gotta say is good luck but I know you won't win

It is BS it should be automatic that men get 50/50!!! What about this equal rights stufff! You can't have it both ways! The way I see it is it should be 50/50 (equal rights) or you women need to shut up an make me a sandwich!(that's the not equal part)!!!
