I like American dream homes better. They will get you pretty much anything you ask for at a good price. Great selection with nice people.

Google them. They have waaaaay to many problems. All the houses LOOK good, but that's about it. They find ways to get around the warranty. As soon as they have their money they're done with you.

I disagree. I did not have a good experience with the salesperson but they have taken care I have needed them too after the fact. I would probably not deal with them again just because of the problems I had in the beginning.

So,what kind of problems did you have? I have excellent credit, but they want me to buy points to get a lower interest. WTF. What kind of warranty problems did you have?
Any thing you would do different in the purchase that you found out later was a "rip off". Just trying to figure out anything before I go any further.

I actually don't consider anything that happened to be a "rip off." I actually love my house and the problems I have had have been very minor. Any issues I have had have been fixed in a fairly timely manner with no expense to me. My problem was with the salesperson. I do not feel like he was always truthful and that he drug his feet quite a bit. I did not feel that he valued my business and I was put on the back burner quite a bit. In the time that I got my home from Clayton I could have had a house built from the ground up. In regards to the loan process they never really tried to advise me with that. They left that to the mortgage company.

RUN before it's to late. I had an 825 credit score and they still hooked me for an extra 4400 to buy down the interest rate. We have had so many problems with out home I could write a book.

Hey "The Closer" did you get a home from
Clayton? I hope you had better service than my husband and I have. We have honored our word and we have paid half of our loan in six years. We will refinance with Y12 this spring at half of the interest rate Vanderbilt charged. Can't wait to get away from them. We had to have our roof replaced the third summer. It was put on wrong and water leaked down our living room wall. They tried to lie and call it hail damage. They cheat and lie. We got them though and instead of paying the 400 they offered it actually cost them 4000. RUN RUN RUN...

Go to Kentucky Dream Homes, I found them the best, american dream homes was a different business in owensboro that went out of business. People get the names confused. Ky dream is local owned, friendly, and take care of people.
I never had any problem when I bought my doublewide trailer. the sale person was friendly and low pressure, I pretty much sold myself. All they had to do was fill out my papers and send them to the bank. They have the real fancy ones but i just needed a big home that did not cost a fortune.
