In my opinion Rubio will be our candidate in 2016. I agree...both sides are to extreme right now. That's why nothing is getting done. But I also believe if the media didn't have Obama's back, he wouldn't have stood a chance last year. Are they going to say we are racist again next year? But just not against Cubans? I'm curious to see how they spin that one. They'll just focus on Republicans hating women I'm sure...especially if it's Hillary. It wasn't the Republicans that created this huge divide and all the hatred. It was Obama and his fear mongering media.

You seem very partisan in blaming one only party for all the divide and hatred in politics. As you contrast the Republicans and their media outlets as being inclusive and open with no fear mongering? How exactly did Obama lie and fear monger?

And for the record, the Republican's gave in to Obama on the fiscal cliff. They were willing to bend much further than Obama was...for the good of the American people. We'll see how the debt ceiling is handled next month. Did you hear last week when Obama said we don't have a spending problem? Do you agree with that?
The republicans really didn't have a choice in the end. The majority of people (although small) voted for not only Obama but his agenda so in essence they almost had to bend to him. And it was a good outcome for the majority of americans.
I have not really gotten to study this debt ceiling issue yet. But hopefully it won't end up like it did last time with our credit rating being downgraded.
Did Obama really say that? WOW! If he did its way off the mark.Really we don't have a spending problem, we have bad judgement spending and an entitlement problem. Spend wisely, cut loopholes, enforce tax laws, tax fairly, end to our problem.

Rubio (as of now) would be a good choice. If they don't try to make him what he's not and change him. Mitt tried 2 straddle both sides of the fence and the 47% video killed him.
Hilarys' chances are fading because of her health. Would be a good candidate though, very tough.
I don't see things the way you do on this divide. The republicans came off as racists when McConnell said he would try to kill anything Obama put on the floor. Even if it was a great idea for the majority of americans. That is not dislike, thats hatred. Not wanting Obamas' policies to succeed even if it was to the betterment of the people is childish and wrong ,almost treasonist.
Now I will say the democrats put out this haves against the havenots because there are so many more havenots. If your going to win an election its a smart way to play. But I will say they had a part in it.

The majority of Republicans aren't Tea Partyists. I'm Republican and I'm pro choice, think anyone should be able to get married and very liberal on social issues. But I believe we were in a better country when God was in our pledge before class every day, even though I'm Agnostic. We are too sensitive to other's beliefs. As our nation turns away from God and becomes less Gid fearing, it becomes a more dangerous place to live. We were safer and more respected when we didn't care what the rest of the world thought. My main reason for being conservative is for fiscal issues, not because I'm a racist or a homophobe like the media portrays every Republican to be. Our president is so far to the left and unwilling to compromise on anything. It's his way or the highway. That is not the way to run any country. I know I was all over the place on that...just wanted you to see where I was coming from.

I'm all over the place . I'm more liberal leaning but I think the bible says" marriage is the union between a man and a woman" so I don't believe in gay marriage. But I'm not a homophobe either, everyone has their right in their personal preferences.
Fiscally I am conservative leaning, I don't like all the money Obama spent but it was a necessary evil at the time.Obamas' mentality now is that he has a mandate (which is true) to follow through on his policies because the american people re-elected him.
I am going to give him a chance and see how it goes. I think he has our country's best interest at heart
I agree ,God needs a bigger place in america.

evidently the republicans want the middle class to always bear the weight of any sacrifice. so the top 2% can get richer. The Bush tax cuts didn't work so lets give Obamas way a try, it can't hurt us as much as the obstructionist republicans have.
You are an idiot. If you are a coal miner and actually want obama in there you are dumb as a box of rocks. You must be a HUGE union liberal loving freak show. I am a coal supporter through and through. Part of my living is made from coal. 60% of the actual KY economy needs coal to keep going and obamas EPA bs is killing the industry. You ignorant fool. You should defiantly rethink your whole obama theroy because he is out to take your job. Though many of you union idiots don't realize it the second America doesn't produce manufacture and distribute we will fall even further in the hole.

A mandate is generally considered when someone wins an election by a large margin. His victory was far from a big one.

By making Mitt Romney out to be a rich old white guy who doesn't care about black people and women. That's how. Mitt Romney was not a bad guy. Obama made him out to be the devil. He ran more negative ads than any president in history.

No we do not have a spending problem, especially not on entitlements. Do you even know why they call them entitlements??? It is because people PAID FOR these benefits and are therefore entitled to these benefits. How would you feel if all of a sudden we called you coal miner pension an entitlement and started cutting it? bet you would be the first to have a stroke about it.
What we have is a lack of jobs and good paying jobs at that. if we had plenty of good paying jobs like we were promised from the Bush tax cuts. wake up and do not fall trap to us having a spending problem, we have a lack of revenue problem.

Yep, Mitt Romney was just a regular guy! lol. You truely are a blind partisan. Obama never claimed Romney was the devil just like liberals never claimed Obama is the messiah. Both are just based on the sensationalism you and your right wing echo chamber repeat amongst yourselves. I'm now starting to see why you're the butt of so many jokes around here. I'm sorry I wasted my time in thinking I could engage in a rational discussion with such a one sided point of view. It's mentalities like yours that allowed the two party system to keep the people so unfocused on real issues.

I would be ecstatic if you didn't 'waste your time' any more. When I speak up 'for' liberal ideas, you don't seem to be around to criticize those or to talk about my mentality then. So I guess my mentality is only bad when I talk about conservative things?
