Snowman they're not paid to watch your child, but to teach them. You seem like a pathetic excuse for a human. And no I'm not a teacher. No one could pay me to have to listen too complaining jerks like you. These teacher don't get paid enough to listen to jerks like you. Teachers babysit your kids throughout the day if they're are anything like you. But I guarantee the principal has to babysit yours even more.

Sorry I can't raise your child for you. Sorry I send home homework so you have time to bond with your child as well as educate them.
Sorry that I'm excited for a snow day so that I can stay home with MY child and spend some extra quality time with him.
But most of all, I'm sorry that an experience with ONE bad teacher made you label an entire professional as lazy and unworthy.
Surely you must hate having days off and must work 7 days a week to feel inferior.
Wheres the "like" button!!!!!! I love that my kids get an education... But i also know that i want whats best for them and i have to do my part in the learning process... And hell i actually enjoy homework time with my kids... Obviously the person who started this post is selfish and doesnt give a shit about there children or their future. Thank you "teacher" for all that you do, i hope tomorrow is a snow day, you could use a break!:)

Man you make me sick... I cant even drop this im so mad at how disrespectful you are!!!

Snow days are tough on me because i have to find a sitter at the last minute... I am a hard working mother of three and i pull 50 plus hours a week,im not perfect, im not rich, i draw foodstamps and my kids get free lunch, but probably unlike you i work my ass off and pay in taxes to help support the government assistance that i need.... And hell... i am not a teacher, but how hard a snow day will be on me and how it will effect me is irrelevent... I want my kids to be safe, getting on a bus with black ice on the road... Is not something i want my child to do... Because i love my kids, and i highly respect the fact that teachers are humans that actually keep a job year round... You on the other hand... Are probably sitting in your HUD housing, getting your WIC and Foodstamps and SSI check handed to your lazy ass out of our tax dollars for no reason other then your lazy as shit and go through jobs like underwear, and your just pissed off cause it feels like your babysitter stood you up! Get the fuck over your selfish ass... You dont deserve your kids... They deserve better

I would just like to thank the teachers whom have educated me over the years. Teachers are the reason that I am so successful in life. Sure have I had a bad teacher or two sure, but that is not every teachers fault. Plus try being a teacher with budget cuts from education every year classes get bigger and that puts more stress on the teacher. Maybe if some of these lazy ass people in America would get a job maybe we could move some of that money from welfare and put it towards education. Welfare is there for people whom need help just not for the taking by anyone!!!!

It's obvious that you not only lack common sense, but grammar skills too. P.S. Your space bar isn't working either.

You do realize the city called schools off once this year, and on that day OPD reported sixty accidents? That day will be made up. Also, city school children have two extra school days on their calendar than county school children.
Why would that day be made up? Don't such things ever really happen?

Because the kids are required to have a minimum of 175 instructional days by Kentucky law. They are considering the February 15th date as a make up date for the day missed for ice.

The only time students don't make up time missed is when the governor declares it a state of emergency, but the teachers still have to work the full 185 days they are paid for.

Again, teachers are contracted and paid for 185 days.
