Besides 3 Krogers, 2 Walmarts, and a bunch of IGA's or whatever they changed their name to most recently, what else do we have?

We really need an Aldi here. They said in the paper a couple of years ago they were going to open one, anyone know what came out of it? I go to Evansville to shop there and it still pays off even with the gas money you have to spend.

The Krogers on Hwy 60 shouldn't count. We need a better option on the east part of the county.

Henderson. Went today. 99 cents 4 a gallon of milk, 99 cents 4 a 10 lb bag of potatoes, and 28 cents for a dozen eggs. 99% of the groceries are Kroger brand which they sell it cheaper than you can get here. You bag your own groceries, 25 cents to get a cart (when you return it, you get your quarter back), and in dec you need to bring your own bags. The store says prices are cheaper because they don't have to hire someone to bag, a cart person, and save money on bags. I love it and will go again in a month or so. It's where the old walmart was in Henderson on hwy 41. I think Evansville has 5. I haven't been to those.

Walmart price matching doesn't depend on the brand. I price match Kroger brands for Walmart brands all the time. In other words, store brand equals store brand.

I went today & loved it. It's even nicer then ALDI is. Way more name brand items than I expected to find. There are just a few things that we are brand snobs on (more my kids than myself) that I'll have to schlep over to Walmart to get but, other than that, I'll probably do the majority of my grocery shopping at Ruler from now on. I'd rather bag my own stuff & group it appropriately, anyway, so that part doesn't bother me in the slightest. Even if you do hate bagging your own groceries, the money you're saving by shopping there makes it completely worth the trouble of taking a few minutes to put your food into plastic bags.
