Good Evening UNA. I think the weather has caused me to have had a few too many naps today instead of being outside enjoying the wonders of the CREATOR.

Trust me, there won't be much peace and comfort when the SHTF, not even in the solitude of your little hollow.

Good evening AW. I know what you mean. I had a nap from 6-8:30. That APAP machine lets me enjoy the soundest sleep I have had in years. Lol. I enjoy it so much I use it napping too. I went from waking up 88 times a night to three times in two weeks and thus far no nightly leg cramps.

I saw that, but they would do well to just show their admiration in some other way. Too bad that Topix does not have a "hug" icon. LOL

Trust me Sybil, I'm sure there are many that would like to toss you into a big ol' fan, but I doubt if they will. It sure wasn't your head in the sand in kindegarten, Sybil tom cat.

I recall many years ago as a child when some zealots spread fear based on the events of the day and how frightened the small children were over this paranoa. While we don't usually expect that the small ones are normally on this thread, my purpose for being here and has been for the past 2 years is to show any youth that might be here that there is a BETTER WAY.

I might ought to check into that. I get plenty of rest but I just do it in spurts.

It might be a good idea AW. It's for sure living by ourselves how many times we wake ourselves by snoring and stopping breathing, we don't know. I fussed and complained for having to spend two seperates nights at that sleep study center, but now I'm glad I did. My family Dr. sent me there. He said sleep apnea was very hard on heart patients, by them stopping breathing so many times and the jolt on their heart of their body restarting the breathing process. The really bad part, he said on rare occasions it didn't restart. Lol. The way you get out and work it would probably really give you pep. I stayed sleepy anytime I sat down. I would fall asleep just about every Sunday in church and snore, it was getting embarassing. I still take naps, but in no way am I as tired as I was before.

Good night AW, think I'll put on my space mask. The little girl Poodle is already sacked out on the blanket with both ears laid back. LOL.

I don't fall asleep that much and maybe the getting out and getting exercise helps with that. I don't know that I wake myself up, maybe I do. I think I have just gotten into a routine of being awake for about 3 hours and then sleeping for 1 or 2.
I think the lack of schedules has caused that more than anything. Except for Sundays or doctor appointments, I don't have to watch the clock any more and to some degree that is not good, but not bad either. LOL

Goodnight Teddy, AW. Hope you have a peaceful sleep.

Had company stopped by and stayed awhile, watching the UK/Tenn game, played some cards and got them out the door on the slick roads (waiting for them to call and let me know they got home okay). Then I hopped into a hot shower, got some hot tea made and thought I would check email and topix, hopefully to get sleepy. It has been sleeted off and on for about 3 hours. Looks like Tennesee and south of me received worse. Sorry about their luck driving back after the Wildcats sent them packing with another "L" in their column. We played like crap.

Didn't hear anything about this until I pulled up my news homepage. Pretty scary these days with all these school, theater, workplace, and mall shootings. People have lost their minds. Pure craziness.

Another BIRD story, just precious how the Creator's animals take up with each other in unlikely ways. Reminds me of a GODvine story/video.
I know Teddy, lol. I know you like the duck stories, haha, this one is about a goose.:)

Odd couple

A touching & unusual friendship developed between Davina, a blind goose, & Maisy, a terrier who took it upon herself to become Davina's guide dog.
Jan. 15, 2013: Maisy, a terrier, watches Davina, a goose that was born blind, at the Old Station House Inn in Exmoor, England, on Jan. 12. A friendship developed between the two, with 3-year-old Maisy serving as a guide dog for the blind goose. Davina trusts her canine companion to help her get around, owner Martin Shepherd said. The goose often waits for Maisy to move things out of her way before waddling to her destination

There is little parental guidance these days for television, internet, or even life in general. But recalling the fears propigated by the zealots of the 50s and 60s, it was no wonder the youth tried ever increasing reasons to get drunk or high and now there is a 2nd or even 3rd generation that sees nothing but evil and that life is worthless.

We think of this thread being "adult", but we have no clue as to how many of the youth may say "OH Dead Birds", let's look at this. They may not post but they are out there.

Then they see this and can GOOGLE Conspiracy theories, Earthquakes, wars in the Middle East, hatred, disease, a faultering or failing economy, Haarp, etc. ad infiitum.

As much as that "truth" exists, I try to be the "Voice that Cries in the Wilderness" that says that life can be fun, full of nostalgic memories, and even laughable including farts and AB's Godvines. It is only a small thing that I can do and nothing other than the GRIM REAPER will stop me. May everyone have a good day and GOD BLESS EACH OF YOU. Today I hope to get out to pay bills and get to the Dollar Store and Sav-a-Lot.
