1 Cherrytree Lane is great! Staff is great. Ratio of workers to kids is good. It doesn't stink. They have a lot of security for the children. It definately is the best in my eyes!

I couldn't disagree more! I have seen 1cherry tree lane perform far below the standards I would expect of a center. They have sent children home dirty, they are constantly sitting the children in front of a tv and using that to babysit them, and they have not done any age appropriate activities with children under 3. I'm very disappointed with this center, as I was expecting better from a mother who expected better for her own children (the director).

That's odd. I do not recall seeing a t.v. in the rooms where the children were. My babies were very small so possible there was one in another room, but I can't remember seeing one.

We were looking into putting our 2 year old daughter into daycare for a few days a week recently and I will tell you that I was not impressed with the selection in Owensboro. We toured several centers and in nearly all of them, the smell of dirty and/or urine soaked diapers slapped you in the face as soon as you walked in. Now, having said that, we could have gone in on particularly stinky days, but it was still jarring because I didn't expect it. We really liked Buena Vista - although it is parochial-based, however they did not want to accept my daughter because she was only going to be there part-time. The kids seemed very content there and the teachers seemed friendly and responsive.

We were basically just looking to socialize our daughter because we are a bit older as first-time parents and our friends' children are all older so she doesn't have that many playmates. Anyway, we ended up choosing to stay at home at go to Kindermusik :) It helped tremendously with our daughter's social skills. If you don't have to work outside the home - I work from home - then I would suggest looking into Kindermusik in the Spring. It's a wonderful program and relatively inexpensive compared to what you would pay for daycare. Good luck!

St pius or heritage park are both good! I don't have children but alot of people I know send their children to these and they love them. I think that St. Pius has a long wait list though. Good luck on your search.

They are both owned by the same company. So it's pretty much the same daycare.

The shitttty thing about Owensboro daycares is that they hire people with babies and then the workers have their own children there. Who do you think that worker will take better care of? Not you're baby but their own!
