Would you let your kids go to their other parents' house if you knew they had a felony warrant out for their arrest?

Sure. Why not? If they get arrested, you will be called to pick up the kids.

Sometimes the cops will let you wait for the mom to come get them before they even put handcuffs on you. That's what happened with me. Not all cops are d!cks. They're just doing their jobs.

Possibly. But, it could be years before someone is picked up on a warrant. Are you going to keep the children away that long?

On the other hand, if it's court ordered visitation, you need a court order to cancel it. Better hurry and get one.
The non custodial parent would have no one to complain to. Call the police and say "my ex won't let me see my kids because I have a warrant". Yeah I'm sure that they would want to turn themselves in.

And it's funny that you all are assuming that this is about a guy. It isn't.

Depends on what it is for? Warrant for what?

It's easy to get a court order. Just get one. It's not like a trial or anything. Just a motion hearing, which takes a few minutes. Play it safe. Don't take the risk of playing games with custody and visitation. Those are very serious issues in court and can get you in big trouble. It's practically an emergency, which makes it faster and easier to get the court order.
lawyers cost money though.

Turn the other parent in. Then they won't have a warrant.

But you probably don't want to be the snitch for turning them in, you just want to be the bit(h that keeps the children away from the other parent.

Oh I did leave a tip. It's an out of state warrant so they won't be coming here.

How much could it cost for the lawyer to write one motion and go to one motion hearing? If you can't afford it, go to Legal Aid. They will recognize it as an emergency.
The last time I paid a lawyer it was $1500 for something to do with custody and visitation. And I can't use Legal Aid. They defended the party with a warrant in divorce proceedings previously so they can't oppose her now.

So if they wouldn't be coming here to arrest them, what's the problem with them going with their other parent? I mean, your problem is having the cops knock on the door with the warrant while your kids are there. Right? But according to your own words, that's not going to happen.

There's always a chance of getting pulled over or something like that.

I saw a parent get arrested myself when I was younger and I can still remember being really scared and worried.
