I disagree. During the 60's and 70's when union membership was in the range of 30% of the workforce they were successful in insuring that all workers - not just those in a union - were able to share fairly in the profits they were helping generate. Now union density is at or below 10%. Corporate profits are at an all-time high, yet those profits are no longer "trickling down" to all levels of the company. Instead, it's all about enriching just the highest levels of management. It's why CEO pay has exploded from 40 times that of the average worker to 400 times that of the average worker. It's greed - pure and simple.<quoted text>I think technology has been a bigger factor in the damage of economic growth than the decline in union membership.
