Accidents.don't.mean blame. I didn't blame.my daughter nor the dog when she was hurt. She was being a curious child and dog was startled not expecting her there was bo blame. It was accident on both child and dog so no blame needed. So why can this not be any different. I didn't watch every move.my child made in the home I had to go to the.bathroom too. And any paremt that says they watch every move of every second of their childs.life is full.of it we all.turn our heads and look at something else from time to time and accidemts happened. There is a such thing as an accident with no one to blame.

And this is why I like my pugs. Stare at them all you want, they aren't going to rip your nose off and eat it.

<quoted text> JUst the facts said that the dog was playing with the child then bit him because he was starin him in the face. I have a great dane and when I stare at him(like I am doing now) he averts his gaze. Why would you want an animal that you could not control or would attack any one who stared at it? I ve been bitten by one of these dogs. I was just walking in the street with my son and it broke thru a plate glass door to get to us. it attached it self to my chest and I could only got it to release when I broke its back on a telephone pole! So before you start calling people dumbasses try some of my type of research and get into a life threatening struggle with one of these animals. I bet you will change your mind. P.S. And I am a dog lover too.
Got a news report to support this so called plate glass breaking dog attack? Or anything to verify your mad wrestling skills that saved your life? Who the hell are you, Jason Voorhees? ROFL!!!!!!

I could stare at my pit all day long and he wouldn't give a rat's patooty. I've also been snapped at by a pug during a delivery. Any intelligent person realizes it's all in how the dog is trained and socialized.

I've read through all the posts on this thread and I truly can't believe how people are over protective of an animal over a CHILD even Human life.
Damn people this little boy has been traumatized for the rest of his life. Besides the scars he will have for a life time.
I have 2 dogs I would never say they wouldn't bite. I would hope not cuz we have trained them but they are animals and you never know what they will do. I have a dachshund about 10 pounds and a boxer about 80 pounds. Our family always watches both of them whenever anyone comes over. All dog owners should be the same way. There have been many times we put them away from company especially children.
20 plus years ago my dad came home from work and told me about one the other men at work, his 3 yr old grandson was killed by their long time pet Rottweiler. Come to find out the Rott just bumped him and knocked the boy over, Broke his neck. It was the shear weight difference.
People need to remember Human life is way too important to ever take a chance!! Dogs usually don't bit their owners/family members. It's the neighbor they have seen a 100 times on their walk, the post man that comes everyday to their home or the little boy that came to play with your son!
All dog owners need to keep this in mind. If you have a bigger breed then you need to realize the shear weight difference of your dog and a child! If you have a breed more apt to bite or attack then that needs to be in your mind at all times.
PEOPLE BE RESPONSIBLE DOG OWNERS!!
