For the Record Im a supervisor at the New Walmart and Id just like to say that I feel its a great place to work. I have been working since I was 16 and im now 29.. I have worked at many places and this new job I have at the new JC Walmart seems like the best place I have worked so far. In a way of helping the community they are donating over 10,000 dollars to local organizations and 4,500 of it is going towards fixing up CFJ park which is right in front of the new site of this new Supercenter. I think this is a great job and I feel they are like any other company our there... Their here to get money which is what every compant wants as well as they save people money cause their smart... If they allowed unions us the consumers wouldnt save the money we do...duuuuuuuh

WOW, some of you dont have a clue what is really going on, do you. The Vestal WalMart is the #1 retail store east of the Mississippi,,,,,,,,,,again,,,, #1 retail store east of the Mississippi!!!!!!Think about that for just a second,,,,,,now, why did they build one in JC. Simple, noone likes to drive the Vestal Parkway,,,,,JC Walmart, easy off the highway, easy back on the highway, very smart when you think about it.Also, a new grocery store that will compete with the AWFUL Weis and almost as AWFUL Price Chopper. And, have you ever noticed how many other businesses pop up around a Walmart? If you dont like Walmart,,,,,dont shop there, but I bet you will, bitching all the way the the checkout!!!!!

I think that having another Walmart in this area is absolutely ridiculous. Two of them in the same fricken county? Is it really that hard for people to drive to Vestal instead? And why does it have to be another "super center"? Isn't one enough? We have so many big businesses in this area already. Im not even proud of growing up here! What do we have to show for this area? WOW- MORE JOBS? Thats the only reason I see this being good. With that said, why is it so hard to get a fricken job around here with so many businesses covering this area. Look at how many people we have unemployed around here. Noone wants to fricken work at WALFART anyways. Everyone I've ever met that worked there ABSOLUTLY HATED it. All im trying to say is stop building more shit we already have and start building parks and fields to play in. We should be thinking more about planting organic gardens and teaching our kids how to survive on there own with out all these stupid money munching companies.

I use to live in binghamton area it was was up there and seen that low classed walmart so very small compared to ones we have down here in ketucky in just in one city we have 3 big ones and and bigger ones in small towns down here, all with gas stations banks in them and the north in your area is way behind they should have at least 4 just to cover your area. The one up there off the vestal plaze looks like old ones that were closed in the south like 10 yrs back. I found it to be a very crappy walmart only 1/2 the size of ones we have down here.and the walmart employess were very rude . down here they all smiel and help and are nice to customers .
I visit friends sometimes up there but find it to be a very dreay place the whole broome county is so dark and dirty . It so great to be back down here which I have been here 15 yr and love it. I only wished I had left that area 30 yrs ago . what a better life one can enjoy far from the no sunshine of the north and the cold .
Why people live up there is beyong me when there is so many more nice palces to live and the living is so much less on taxes gas and food comepared to the broome county area or any part of new york state gas here is 2.72 mile is 2.30 a gal food is much less
I was born in new york in your area and had enought sense to get out of there your taxes are too high , the area is so depressed It
it was bad enough back when the Endicott Johnson factories closed them when IBM left it was a total lass to that area.
I am now a kentuckin and so glad to live in a place were every one is nice and and respects one another. Young men say yes sir to younger people show respect to you.We have 100's of wlamarts in ky and they are very big super stores the one in Binghaton area is like very small that one would would maybe only take up 1/2 the area of any in the south.
I guess you folks up there never seen a reael Walmart and I wonder why it took so long to put another one up the .
maybe they don't bring in enougm sales any down here do at least 60 million or more a month in sales yes in just one month and that is in the smaller cites down here.

The Walmart that should have never been built!
Creepy!
Never seen another like it.
When we pulled up we thought it was the back of the store due to the lack of windows,
Inside was very strange as well. The layout was the worst I've seen. The main aisles were narrow and hard to get through while the freezer aisles you could drive a truck through.
The whole place felt unorganized and a mess.
Most of the staff seemed like they didn't want to be bothered.
If you really need to go to Walmart drive the extra miles for some normalcy.
We got charged twice for three lbs of grapes which means we paid $12 for.
Paid for banana's but we never received them.
Never going back... Too crept out!
Up yours

we six NEED a walmart on the binghamton/johnson city line like we are getting. It's a need. Not everyone has cars and its too much for the poor to catch two buses up and two back from the Vestal Walmart. It creates jobs, and alot of people only NEED a part time job. Walmart is the best thing happening to our area. Anybody who would say otherwise is just hatin.
six members of the godless Walton family have more wealth than z193 million Americans and we continue to support them an Wall Street while they won't even pay their employees above the poverty level. What wrong with America is Americans. We can't even build something and sell it to each other without roasting it thru the Walton's and Wall Street so they gat all the money from the transaction. Mark of the best you dumbass people. Charts will not have mercy on people who were just plain stupid
