Hello to all in the midwest.
Recently I came into posession of a print of
a famous painting called "Grace" by Ingstrom circa
1918. The print is worth little but I am always
interested in the history of companies that reproduced such works. The back of the print says
Belart company Kenyon, Mn. Are there any old timers out there who know of this no longer existent(as far as I can tell)co. I would like to
know when they were in business and would even love to hear from someone who possibly worked there. I do know that a company by the same name produced many wall plaques that we who grew up in the fifties are familiar with-is this the same company. Would welcome any information that someone could provide. Thanks much.

I just cleaned out my mom's house and found a numbered Belart piece as well. D-39032. I also had a sticker attached that referenced Belart in Mendota, Minnesota.
If anyone has any information on these I would appreciate hearing from you.

Belart used to be a division of Foldcraft Co, a fast food resturant seating manufacturer. It was started by Harold Neilson who still lives in Kenyon and is involved in many philinthropical activities. Belart was disolved I beleive and any remaining prints and frames were moved to a Business owned by Harold called "The Galery" Later sold and name changed to Moose Creek Galery I beleive. That business is now in the process of closing its doors. Maybe they still have some prints left!

shows the twists and turns old companies have taken on the way to extinction.

I live in Cold Spring NY and I find it interesting
how old things end up in homes around the country.
My husband once said it would be the basis for
a good TV series i.e. objects found in a second hand store with a story about the people and circumstances around them. By the way Ray of Hampstead-where is Hampstead? I had relatives living in Claremont and spent a number of vacations as a child at Lake Sunapee and at Hampton Beach -- are you close to either?

i, too, am cleaning out the home of an elderly relative and found a print with the certificate of belart, inc. it is numbered D47201 and it is dated 12/9/66. Anyone know how to find out the value of it?

I also hae a framed mirror from the Masterpiece Collection of Belart.# DO4161, dated March 4, 1975. Do you know if this has value?

I think the artist was from Bovey.
Such a simple yet powerful picture hangs in the dining area

i recently lost my husband and he had a painting from the Belart Company dated 6-19-73 # 41471
It is a painting of a very pretty blond lady schoud in a sheet with a breast exposed, if any one could tell me about this painting and if its worth anything I would really appreciate it Thanks

This was a part of Fold Craft Company in Kenyon, MN. I used to staple the pictures in the frames about 30 yrs ago.
Fold craft is still in business today, making tables and booths for Restaurants.

I have a print of "Grace" that used to be in my grandmother's diningroom. I used to fantasize that it was my Pappy, whom I never met. lol I know there's another print that goes with it. It is of a woman. I cannot recall what the pic is exactly, nor the title of the print, because something happened to it a long time ago. I would love to find the other print that goes with "Grace" if anyone out there knows anything about it. Also, knowing the estimated monetary value of "Grace" would be good too....

I have the same print with the same number on it? Might have been a stock number instead of a series number. Mine is also 16X20

Recently while cleaning out my grandmothers house I came across the print "Grace" by the Belart Co. in Kenyon, Minn. It is a 16 x 20 print as well but it had a different number then the ones listed here. Does anyone know the extimated value of the print? The print itself is in very good condition.

i have the same picture {Grace} mine says d-43059 there is no date on it but on the back is an envelope with the story behind this picture my great grandmother had this in her kitchen and i looked all over for this picture and i found a print in a store then i found this one the picture i,ve been looking for forever it seems like, i look at this picture and so many memories come back so it,s more to me than a picture it,s everything i knew as a kid

I have what I remember as a shadow box, It has a cerificate on back that says Masterpiece Collection of belart Inc. kenyon MN with the # D49346 and dated 12-30-69 Any ideas on value for this piece or any collectors out there that would be interested.
