When is it ever enough for these people. Broken Arrow has the highest property tax rates in Oklahoma. How about a novel idea. Don't spend so much. Cut back on the waste and save some money to pay for all of this "Stuff". Times are tough. We are Taxed Enough Already!

Broken Arrow does NOT have the highest tax rates in the state. The AFP specializes in publishing misleading information and propaganda pieces that are simply not true.

At best they are waging a misinformation campaign with the goal of confusing voters and effecting the outcome of this critical school bond election.

For facts consider http://www.baschools.org

For a rebuttal to the lies and distortions from Mr. Jolly, check out http://voteyesba.blogspot.com

Tell Mr. Jolly to go home and step out of Broken Arrow schools and to stop trying to punish the kids. Vote YES on 12/8.

The agency posting that the BA is the highest tax is probably true.
However, All bond issue in the past have contained numerous things regarding atheltics. The School board should ask the question is why did the not use funds for Stadiums etc. to rebuild the modular school building.

I have lived in Tulsa, Claremore, and BA school districts and voters seem to vote in athletics and turn down school improvements.
I am tired of this from the State Level (Stoops at 4.3 million)and BA building stadiums. It is not all the voters fault since the contents of a bond issue is not their choice. Only the beacrauts that propose them.

Even if the bond issue is needed the unemployment factor of 7.5% is reason enough to deny this bond issue.

I am tired of hearing that is not a tax increase. It is because a no vote will cause a tax decrease. The unemployed certainly will appreciate the decrease even it is not an increase. If you see my point.

I will support any school bond that does not spend funds on athelics. This does not generate Scientist, etc..
Very Sad

I understand what you're trying to say, BUT...... Athletics are an important part of a well-rounded person. Student athletes tend to do better in school, because they know if they don't make decent grades, they can't participate in sports. Yes, I know this doesn't apply to ALL student athletes. Also, just being physically active makes our brains function better. Being involved in a school activity makes the kids feel a part of something, and help keeps them out of trouble. I totally agree that we shouldn't put EVERYTHING into athletics. They key here is a good balance of athletics and education. As for this not being a tax increase.... It isn't. It's just not a tax decrease. The way I look at it, if I vote yes, nothing changes for me. I'm definitely ok with that, if it helps the students. There are just too many good things about this bond issue for me to vote no out of selfishness, and wanting a tax decrease. That's just my opinion, and I know there are a lot of people who disagree.
