So they didn't stop at the stop sign? This is such a dangerous intersection and very busy.

So sad, I'm very sorry to the family & friends of these people. My family passed by this accident after it happened & we knew it was bad. Just awful that split second decisions can make or break us literally. Be careful out there people, watch out for yourselves & the the other guys too.

I thought that Owasso was on US 169.
There is several miles between US 75 and Owasso.

Owasso isn't just on 169.
I drive this intersection twice a day and it is very dangerous. It really needs a ramp.

This was a horrible accident, we were mins away when this happened, all we knew was that the fire truck was behind us, passing us by and cops were just arriving! It looked pretty bad, our hearts go out to the ppl lost in this accident, this intersection is very dangerous, and if you don't stop, then you know you would be in trouble. When we passed by, we already knew it they wouldn't have made it out.

That location falls kind of in the middle of skiatook, sperry, collinsville and owasso, though it is closest to sperry. They probably said Owasso because it was the most recognizable of the 4

There is a new article about this accident. Now they are saying in North Tulsa County on US 75. Not US 169 as previously stated.
As for the intersection, it is not all that dangerous. There is a clear view in all directions. The problem is that people get in a hurry and don't stop at the stop sign. They also slowly creep across that intersection. It is as if the people expect the traffic on US 75 to stop for them.

No worries, Mike. Even though I am sure that you are not worried. You are not being mean. I totally understand what you are saying. Two people are gone no matter where it may have been at. I actually think (notthing meant toward the family or loved ones) that some of these posts are a bit funny how they are worded in regards to where it happened at. UH UHM... Yeah?????????

My husband was hit by a semi there 2 years ago, and we could have lost him.The van was totalled.I was happy to see the flashing lights to slow motorists down, but a ramp is what we really need.

I am so sorry for your loss. May God be with the families. Were they brother and sister or were they a married couple? Did they have kids? Again I am so sorry.
