Law and order came to Verdigris a little later than some places. During the time when Oklahoma was Indian Territory and on into the early days of statehood, the Verdigris area was known as rough and tumble country.

[Yes, I know, this is several years old and these statistics from the Los Angeles Times are probably no longer accurate--they are worse.]

1. 40% of all workers in L. A. County ( L. A. County has 10.2 million people)are working for cash and not paying taxes. This is because they are predominantly illegal immigrants working without a green card.

2. 95% of warrants for murder in Los Angeles are for illegal aliens

3. 75% of people on the most wanted list in Los Angeles are illegal aliens.

4. Over 2/3 of all births in Los Angeles County are to illegal alien Mexicans on Medi-Cal , whose births were paid for by taxpayers.

5. Nearly 35% of all inmates in California detention centers are Mexican nationals here illegally

6. Over 300,000 illegal aliens in Los Angeles County are living in garages..

7. The FBI reports half of all gang members in Los Angeles are most likely illegal aliens from south border.

8. Nearly 60% of all occupants of HUD properties are illegal.

9. 21 radio stations in L. A. are Spanish speaking.

10. In L. A. County 5.1 million people speak English, 3.9 million speak Spanish.(There are 10.2 million people in L. A. County )

Less than 2% of illegal aliens are picking our crops, but 29% are on welfare . Over 70% of the United States' annual population growth (and over 90% of California, Florida, and New York ) results from immigration. 29% of inmates in federal prisons are illegal aliens.

We are a bunch of fools for letting this continue

So much for any kind of discussion on this forum anymore. It's just a spot for two separate groups to take pot shots at each other and try to make their case to the other. Forget about the purpose for this forum, which was to talk about the VPD, and it ability, or inability, to do it's job.

Actually, the discussion IS about whether the Verdigris Police Department does there job or not. It clearly is about their decision to not protect a 15 year old girl from an abusive father that has been reported for beating her on several occassions and to turn the whole situation around and make it appear that the problem is a 16 year old boy who became the target when his mother took the little girl to the police to report yet another beating.

The problem we have at the county, and local levels, when it comes to law enforcement in Rogers County, is the same old lame attitude is present. It is always easier to do nothing than it is to be aggressive and proactive. In the case of child abuse, a professional interviewer would be able to detect who was being truthful and proper action could be taken. If the D.A's Office had reviewed a Verdigris P.D. investigation, then that office would discuss their disposition with the disgruntled parties. Come the 2012 election, there will be new blood infused into the Rogers County law enforcement world and a lot of the smoke and mirrors attitude are going to be history.

Careful...the Verdigris Highway Patrol is on the Cash cow again! Thats VPD not OHP. Seems as if patrolling to keep your residences safe and speeders on the backstreets is out! Apaarently the QT guys have found a new source of revenue close to their hangout!

I do believe there will be new people infused into rogers county law enforcement before the 2012 election.......simpky because they chise NOT TO DO THE RIGHT THING!!

Its ok now........I did the right thing......as promised!! Now.......changes are in the works.

It sure could have been different.....I gave y'all several chances, but still you chose not to do the right thing.......I wonder how it feels to not have any clue how to lie out of the situatiin that's about to happen? How does it feel to know that someone rose up and stood against many and is going to seek justice from the very people that are supposedley supposed to uphold it.....
you know who you are.......and I'm NOT going away.........I promised an abused child that I wouldn't stop until EVERYONE is held responsible for their actions.......and I DO NOT EVER break a promise!!

Still.....to be continued..........

Jump on board Shane......Cole Butler can mend the many fractures and injuries that have occurred in the RCSO....your treatment and termination being one of them. Your service to the county should not go un-noticed and when Butler gets into office, your experience will be very useful. Jump on board with Cole's efforts and lets fix the RCSO of the cancer that currently plagues it.

I really don't have a problem with Rogers county sherriffs office.....but with the Verdigris police dept.

I am not looking for anything out there EXCEPT the abuse that was allowed to continue even when I uncovered the lies and the smoke and mirror tricks. I have, and stay steadfast, in the pursuit of justice for two innocent girls who were allowed to stay in an abusive situation per the Verdigris police and now....I have also uncovered a very detrimental flaw in the Rogers County DHS office as well.

I appreciate the support for my efforts and am grateful that there are still people out there that still believe in doing the right thing! I am committed to doing just that and that's why the 'storm' is coming. I seek not fame, nor do I seek anything exceot justice. All my life, as a man, I have always held myself accountable for my actions.......and that's all I'm after here.......for the people who continuously allowed these children to keep being abused, to be held accountable for their actions......ALL OF THEM!

The very unfortunate part of all this.......it DID NOT have to be this way.
I simply made a promise to an abused child when she begged me to help, and as a man who has amazing Faith, integrity, and conviction......I WILL KEEP MY PROMISE!

Thanks to those who still believe in doing the right thing.......its still worth it!!

......but....what happens when the D.A.'s office DOES NOT discuss with BOTH disgruntled parties but instead sides with one side......and tells the other side and I quote......" DO NOT CALL BACK"......as per O'Connel and Steidleyl?? Yup......this is the part where parties actually become DISGRUNTLED!!!

Again.......I ALWAYS go right back to.....DOING THE RIGHT THING!! It seems that not everyone is onboard with that these days.

I'm concerned about how the law is SUPPOSED to be upheld.....when NOBODY is doing their job?!.....just sayin

They must have a reserve working the streets because he drives that older pick up. I couldn't imagine a full time chief or investigator or anything else that doesn't do a d#$# thing drive an older pick up so they must leave the guy who donates his time and sacrifice by hiself out there. And this Chief must think the public is stupid when he parks behind the building. Hey Jack @$$ thats the first place we look for your vehicle because we know your not getting your fat @$$ out there.

For the longest time, the website for the Town of Verdigris has been under construction. No information at all about what is going on with the police department? I don't live there but I'd be damn upset if I was paying for something that no one knows anything about. Was Darin Hester made chief or who?

I know for a fact there is corruption in Verdigris Police Department and Rogers County DHS, and all the Judges in that county, I know this because I myself am a victim of their nonsence. Rogers county is the most corrupt county in Oklahoma.

I think their K9 officer was caught having sex on duty a couple weeks ago. Maybe they finally decided to hire real cops?
