Spending Issue - Most government spending is a subsidy of some sort, this is no different, so dont be upset about the spending. Your tax dollars were already spent years ago, so this one is not relevant to you (we I should say).(this applies to federal as well)

Religious Implications - Calm yourself, its a rock. All it implies is that this State and its laws and behavirol norms are principly driven by those 10 edicts, which exist in similar form in many religions.

Seperation - People elect individuals to lead government offices in our republic. We elect christians predominatly in this state, becuase we are predominatly christians, they are going to be guided in their duties by those values that we knew when they were elected. Belief that these are seperable is ignorant, at least for this State. Now, this is of course not an infringement on our Muslim buddies, because, the State is not promoting a belief system.

Thank you for allowing this to be placed on the Capitol grounds. If we lived by these rules which were set up many years ago, maybe we wouldn't have the mess we have now. Our nation has allowed a minority to rule over the majority and have taken God out of everything. We need to get back to what this country was founded on and quit letting the belly achers rule the country. We are almost living in the old west now with someone getting mad and just shooting whoever. We need to settle our differences like adults and stop this nonsense of shooting just to win the fight. Where did thou shall not kill go?(One of the 10 commandments) We slap these people on the hands and say they have a mental disorder or some other nonsense. Children are raped and killed. We as adults should be protecting them and our elders not letting bad things happen to them. This needs to stop. Parents shouldn't be afraid to let their children go out and play and be safe, not stolen or killed by a drive by shooting.

The sooner we turn back to the principles on which we were founded the sooner we will get out of the current mess we are in.

And to the moron that wants prayer in school, I hope your kid(s) get a Wiccan teacher. Your kid will learn more about the true origin of 'christian' holidays than they ever would otherwise.
I'm Catholic and I would prefer to pray with my kids and teach them religion myself. If I wanted them to pray in school or learn religion in school, I would send them to a catholic school. I went to a catholic school as a kid, but some of my other siblings went to public school. They received a better education.
It's always OK to force your religion onto people.... as long as it also happens to be theirs, right?

Catholics always seem to have a better grip on reality than protestant christians. Props.

Oh yes, wasting money by putting this engraved rock on capitol grounds will fix all of our state's problems. The clouds will clear and the crackheads will put down their pipes.

Get real guys.

The cost is not relevant, the money consumed by the state has little or no effect on the daily lives of people. The state collects a specific amount, how that is spent is not of significance to you, their objective is to subsidise the local economy. This still does that.

I don't think you got the message I was making Eric. A rock isn't going to solve anything but at least some people are standing up for what they believe. People are belly aching about the cost. Look how much it cost us to house the killers in the jails and prisons which are getting over crowded. There will always be killers, crackheads and other crimes in our world. But as a Christian, we need to stand up for what we believe. This rock as you call it is not an idol, graven image or a fixer of all things, it just shows what some people believe in, what God presented to Moses as rules we are to follow. Why don't we just take the law out of our country like some people are trying to get God out of everything and see what kind of mess we will be in. Now you get real. Now come back with some type of smart remark. I really don't care. You have your right to express your feelings as I do. Freedom of speech.

" Duh ", if Religion has no place in in government & state, read your dollars, better still, Have you ever seen a court that did not recognize " God ", or use the Bible for a swearing in ceremony or for a testimony in court ? If you choose not to accept the very foundation that The United States was founded on, I pray that God will find a way to show you the error of your ways. The very laws, are based on the ten commandments.
Take a class on The History of The United States, oh, and I bet you are right there to collect your stimulus check, huh.

I wonder if Brogdon would have wasted our time and money on this if he wasn't running for Governor. As for people that bring up the "prayer in school" argument, I am fine with that as long as they provide prayers for Jews, Hindus, Buddhists, Muslims, Wiccans,(and any other religion) and a place and time for quiet reflection for Athiests. This country was NOT founded on a evangelical Christian belief. It is a secular country that promises freedom of religion. If you need a state religion, go over to the middle east...they have lots of them over there. You are free to worship however you want here (or not worship) and we should not force any one "way" onto children (or anyone for that matter). If Oklahoma wants to improve their schools, they should try investing in them. It works in other states and countries.

Our country was based on CHRISIAN belief. Not Muslim, Buddhists, Hindus, or others. God, not Alah, or Buddah, or whatever else is what has been around forever. This is a historical, religious document and there is nothing wrong with it. A moment of silence in schools will take care of any religion represented. I think Senator Brogdon would have done this whether he was running for governor or not. I know him personally and he goes to my church. I know his brother who is a minister here in town and his mother. This is a very good family. Nobody says it will fix all of our country's problems.

What's a Chrisian belief? Is that an offshoot of Jesus worship? Brogdan is just another in a long line of Republicans that say one thing in public and do things rather ahem "differently" in private.

Where in the constitution does it state that this country is a "Christian" nation?
