Ticked Off! @ those spooky Oviedo chickens

Full story: Orlando Sentinel

Why do the jerks from DOT come along and butcher my bougainvillea while it is in full bloom and steal the plants from my property? The Oviedo chickens stare and make faces at me every time I drive by.

Ok, is it just me or is every single one of these fake?

Chickens? Disrespectful to a disease? Fallen and can't get up? A penny?

To the person that wrote "I'm ticked off at the bumper sticker that says "save the tatas." It's totally disrespectful to a major disease such as breast cancer."
You are a total dumb-butt - SAVE THE TATAS is a foundation that has been created to encourage/remind woman to get regular mamograms in an attempt to prevent breast cancer and ensure the earliest detection. Check it out on the internet. Believe it or not - it even has it's own website!

•The phone book house is coming along really fine. I've got a special room I call the Barrister Room decorated with attorneys' ads. I plan to go to Tallahassee and get some hot air to heat it.

Why go all the way to Tallahassee? There's plenty of hot air here in Orlando. Just turn on Channel 13 and listen to Dan Newlin.

If you can keep track of stamps, maybe you shouldn't be driving. I'd say you were talking on your cellphone, not paying attention to anything when you dropped them, did you back out in front of somebody?

You only had $16.98 on you? I would have told you to get out of my way so I could checkout. DEADBEAT

I'm a breast cancer survivor who has been through A LOT and I think the organization who uses 'Save the Tatas' for their slogan should be applauded. I FIND IT WONDERFULLY HYSTERICAL! God knows it is good to laugh after such an experience! Doing my self exams probably saved my life. do you do yours????

And it draws more attention to the cause than a boring pink ribbon would.

those are not real chickens. They are publix employees from another world here looking for dropped pennies. They probably think you see thru their disguise and are getting ready to transport you back to their home world where you will be deep fried and sold in a little paper bag for lunch.

RE: It's stupid and uncalled for to have female commentators on men's basketball.

I think you're stupid. I think it's stupid that so many TV channels promote men's team sports but it's hard to find anything on with women's team sports. I'm sick of seeing men get paid the big bucks for playing sports and officiating games and women having to go to Europe to make a decent wage to play a team sport.

ESPN has female commentators on college football and Fox has them for NASCAR. Networks tried to promote women sports but only Lesbo's watched. The same ones that watch Hellen and that's only a few.

To the person offended by the Save the Tatas organization: Here's some background information -
Julia Fikse wants to save the ta-tas, including yours! Exposed to the effects of breast cancer at an early age when her grandmother lost both breasts to the disease, Fikse learned the value of accepting and loving oneself no matter your appearance.
After a second run-in with breast cancer in 2004 when another family member had a mastectomy and questioned her femininity, Fikse realized the importance of promoting self beauty and confidence in the hearts of women battling breast cancer.
Our Purpose
We exist to bring joy and healing to the world.
Our Core Values
We believe that laughter heals.
We believe in leading with a spirit of excellence.
We believe that integrity and generosity brings success for all.
These are sacred and unchanging.
These are our guiding principles for all we do.

And that I-m-so-offended- is really what offends you - that people aren't moaning and groaning but out celebrating LIFE in its FULLEST

Quote "The Oviedo chickens stare and make faces at me every time I drive by. It's spooky. Those disease-ridden vermin should be eradicated by the city because they probably have bird flu." Quote

Don't let those Dadgum Oviedo chickens put you in a fowl mood. The next time they make faces at you, stop your car, get out and stare and make faces right back at them. You will find that they will immediately back down from you because deep down inside, they are really "Chicken".

While I will say that I disagree with the ticked off you are commenting on, I must point out, the reason you don't see women's sports as much as men's is that no one wants to watch. Sports leagues and tv networks are in it to make money. If they could make money on women's sports, they would be pushing them hard. But women's sports don't get the ratings. So if you want to be pissed off, be pissd of at society in general(women too).

"I love watching Food Network, but how about the cooks who lick their fingers and go right on cooking or the ones who wash their hands, then turn the germ-laden faucet off? How do they never get a spot of anything on those fancy clothes they cook in?"

It's a TV show. They have studios and editing and the opportunity to re-shoot it if there's a mess.
As for touching the faucet, do you really want to watch a *cooking* show that takes up airtime with laborious instructions about sanitation, AND with the hosts actually taking time doing it? If you want how-to about sanitation, go the Proctor/Gamble website. I'm sure they have some Flash video for you to watch whenever you want.

regarding ESPN has female commentators...who cares! I bet you guys watch more because of the girls! Maybe they should wear less and then the ratings would go straight through the roof! Get a life!

Wear Less! Great Idea. Erin Andrews half nekkid will drive the ratings up!

Daily Horoscope for December 5

Libra

Your social life has a lot to offer under the Leo Moon and it would be a shame to spend too much time on your own. Venus, your life-ruler, in the sign of the Archer, is outgoing and jovial, but you're keen to make a serious effort with people you aren't normally all that keen on. Take them in your stride, and look on the bright side. There's always something to like about anyone!
