story from post-dispatch:

ST. LOUIS The man shot to death Monday afternoon in the 4500 block of Mary Avenue has been identified as Leandre Henderson, 41, of north St. Louis County, police say.

Henderson was found on the ground at 3:15 p.m. Monday and died at a local hospital. He had been shot in the head, shoulder, arm and leg.

Henderson lived in the 3600 block of Greenway Chase Drive in unincorporated St. Louis County.

The crime scene on Mary Avenue is in the city's O'Fallon neighborhood, near West Florissant and Warne avenues.

Police released no information on suspects or a motive in the case.

The guy wasn't in the Florissant area. West Florissant and Warne is St.Louis City.

What's with you people and always starting some BS?

Now now,you must bone up on your reading skills. No one said the crime happened in Florissant, only that the dead guy was from the Florissant area in north county. They probably went by the zip code, which often times cast an unfair shadow on Florissant as there are three or four zip codes implying Florissant when it's really not the city of FloMo. Later.

I believe the reason for the reply is that everytime something even close to North County, Florissant, Ferguson, etc. happens someone posts it. Usually that someone doesn't have anything to do with the area so what is their point? That's a rhetorical question, obviously.

People in St Charles, O'Fallon and that area all catch flak because of the meth thing when it is only a small percentage of that population that is involved. Stop trying to make every city look bad just because of a few numbnuts that live there.

Why anyone who doesn't live in an area cares about what is going on is weird. If it doesn't affect you or your family, friends, business, then just go on your way.

And your point for posting this is? People are shot and killed on a pretty regular basis in the city. So the guy lived in or near Florissant everyone has to live somewhere even homeless people with no real physical address. People who knew the guy know about it happening. People who didn't aren't concerned or just consider him another statistic.

Why do some people assume that the rest of us can't find out for ourselves about whatever the issue might be. People are always posting links or articles about all kinds of things as if they believe that everyone (or anyone for that matter) is interested in the same thing they are. A little weirdness and a lot of egotism is what it comes down to.

And for you folks that get upset about such things, lighten up, it's better for your blood pressure. Let the whomever ramble about how bad your area is no matter where you live. Write them off as a malcontent and get on with your life. People like that are just a waste of time and energy that can be better spent doing lots more positive things.

Forget the NorCo FloMo ChuckieO Ofallono Wantsvillo crap. The real issue with the article from the Post is the fact that the city of STL has become a freaking war zone. No matter which side of the river you choose to call home, if this crap spills into the county or across the river, it's going to suck for the rest of us law abiding folks no matter.

Was it really that difficult for you to understand the poster was referring to the heading of the article?
Yep, guess it was.

It isn't a question of "if" this spills to the surrounding Counties, it already has. And the affect of these crimes on those cities and counties has a negative economic impact to them, in that, any Company that might be in a position to open or expand their business will shy away from areas of crime and perhaps even from areas where the criminals reside.

thats not accurate because if it were, downtown st louis would be a ghost town with no businesses at all. after all, like someone else said, its a war zone isnt it?

You people are totally missing what's important here. You waste time arguing the point of where he lived or may have lived, yet you are not getting the big picture. I also disagree that if you don't live in a certain area, you shouldn't care what happens. Idiots! It affects us all. There are crimes in our most affluent neighborhoods that you may/may not hear about. What we need to focus more on is what can be done to lower the crime rate in general.

Thank You for acknowledging what I've know for thirty one years.I lost a very real person in my life. People from all around the country were present at the services. He touched many lives. Stand Up is what a lot CLAIM to be but few are. He truly was.
