Just so advertisers and researchers know - Grant Wood had nothing to do with Grantwood Village. This Village was named after President Ulysses Grant who lived here after he married Julia Dent. Don't waste your time or money looking for news about that noted American painter who painted American Gothic.

Yes, Ten Mile House is pretty cool. It was named that because it was a stop off for travelers from St. Louis. Guess how far it is from St. Louis ....
