<quoted text>12,000 or so? Don't know if your talking about the population of our great city but if you are, you are about 44 thousand short on your numbers there wiz kid. BTW, we made the CNN Best Places to live list once or twice. Is your wonderful community recognized as a "best place to live"? I kind of doubt it.
Sorry for the typo that should have been a 5 instead of a "1". But the question still remains, why does a city that is close to the same population as Florissant need 11 civilians working in the police department?
Guess I'll check it out since you don't seem to be concerned about it but are concerned about other communities.
FYI no one said anything about St.Peter's not being a good place to live. The question was and still is...what business is it of yours how the FPD is ran?

I dont think he really gives a shit about what you think or how any police depts run. I think he just likes to get under your nails and apparently he has succeeded. Why? Because you let him. If you let that kind of shit bother you, you have issues.

Simply put; the Florissant Police Department is great. As well as Hazelwood, and St. Louis County Police Departments. I am sure that they all have some internal bickering as does any organization, but that is no reason to tear them down. Other topics of leadership may be best suited.
That being said, the only reasons anyone would care to take the time to badmouth the community of Florissant is because 1. They are a racist, 2. They are not educated, 3. They are disgruntled for leaving and misery loves company, AND 4. Anonymously they have nothing better to amuse themselves with.
The best way to defend this type of character is to simply NOT RESPOND to a ghost.

The guy asked a valid question. Why does a small department need to employ 11 civilians instead of having officers who are trained and might be needed in the future doing those jobs?

And why do you think you have the right to criticize someone for responding to any post? I don't see anything in the post that shows "Thomas T" is upset. You sure do assume a lot for someone who doesn't have any stake in Florissant's affairs either. It seems like you are just seeking attention.

i guess the reason it seems alot less than %69 white is because the black draw all the attention to themselves with all the monkey actings goings on they pull. i would tell the florissant goverment to do what ever it takes to keep the blacks out of florissant no matter what. if not this city is done, like so many others the blacks have invaded.

I live in florissant and work outdoors in glorissant haxelwood black jack and sad to say it buy florissant is plummeting down hill the last two years. You can not drive down the street morr then three or four streets now without running into a group of 16 + year olds at all hours of the day. Not just black groups thug white kids and punk skaters to but the skater culture has pretty much merged with the thug culture this last decade so they cause just as much trouble if not more to prove themselves to the thugs. They are everywhere. Any of you who dont. See it are freaking blind. By the way I would never move to ofallon its just florissant people who bouhht more house yhen they can afford so they are always stressed and have no free time to parent there kids. St pers maybe if I moved on the side near 40 but most likely not because it is where north county is spreading anf yes are police suck. They dont seem like they have been trained at all on how to pinpoint a criminal let alone catch them. There are drug houses popping up everywhere and if you call to report it the confront you like how do you know its a drug house. My question is how do they not know its a drug house. For those who say everyone who thinks they arent doinv t here job must have hotten a ticket from them. Ive only had one ticket in the past ten years and its because there was a stop sign in old toen where a tree grew out in front of it when I first moved to florissant in 2003 and didnt see it till I was already in the intersection. No traffic was coming but a police car was sitting up the street by time he flipped his lights on I had already pulled over got my license registration out because I knew there was no way he didnt notice it. I almost thought he didnt then even though I pulled over before his car even moved he still asked me if I knew why he pulled me over, duhh.

I hate to down them because there job is to help us but I just dont see them doing it. But everyone is allowed their own oppinion no matter how blind it is.

Wow I just looked at my post lots of spelling mistakes. Sorry im not a typist I have to look at the keys while typing so I dont notice it if my fat fingers hit the keys next to it. I guess I should have proofread before sending. Plus I just read through a bunch of other threads in the florissant forum so I'm pretty sure posting on topix forums was a waste of my time. Just a bunch of bickering. So I apoligize in advance

Never had a problem with the FPD or any department for that matter. As far as "drug houses" how do you know they are that? And if you have proof of it why aren't you doing something? If, as you state the police are not doing their job (I don't agree) there are other options you can take. Log on to the state attorney general's office for more info.

If everyone is entitled to their opinion, which they are, who are you to say that opinion is wrong. Because it doesn't agree with yours, I assume.

FYI, The reason your post has so many errors is not your doing. There is some sort of problem with the site or with the ISP provider. I noticed it several times before.

If you count dispatchers, clerks, and janitors, they are civilian employees. Why pay a uniformed police officer to do these jobs?

black people are the most racist people there is. everything is someone else's fault all the time with the blacks, that's one of their major problems.

You should take note of several things that are going on not only in Florissant but North County in general. Look at Jamestown Mall, Northwest Plaza, and the Mills is next. The question is why?
Face the statistical truth. The police departments have not changed but the face of crime has! The school districts have changed, the shopping areas have changed, the types of stores have changed, from large retail stores to small mom and pop stores. The products that are being sold has changed. More pawn shops, Chinese restaurants, used car dealers, etc.
When shopping who are the sales staff? Look around see for yourself, what's going on. What are the traffic patterns, who is being arrested for the majority of the crimes, what is the racial makeup of the schools, and the neighborhoods?
These questions are self evident and all have the same answer, judge for yourself.

Doesn't Lake St. Screwy have its own forum? Question 1, why are you posting here? Question 2, what are you trying to insinuate here with your rhetoric? Is this a race baiting commentary on your part or is it an effort to claim your area is crime free? Which is it?

And why wrote:

would it be any of your business since you don't live here? Maybe you got arrested by a FPD officer?
Curious how many people who get tickets or have other problems with the police post subtle allegations...isn't it?
Lived here for 40 years never had a problem with the FPD no matter who was in charge and think they have always done a great job/
So why not concern yourself with your own community, because it has some pretty serious problems of its own.
lol, I like your post! You're awful fast to go on the defensive and point the finger in the other direction. Which raises red flags when someone has simply asked the opinions of others on how the department is ran.
Maybe it is his business even though he might not live here. Did you stop to think that he might own a business here and live elsewhere? he might be a single parent whose children attend your schools. Why would you imply that he broke the law and received a citation? And I don't see any allegations in his post. And seriously? You've lived here for 40 years and not one time ever, in that 40 years have they ever messed up or done anything wrong? Not even by accident? Lol nothing huh? Sounds to me that this is an attempt to divert attention away from the question asked and the answers implied. Your instantaneous defensive posture, as any psychiatrist will tell you, indicates that you're trying to hide something or protect someone.
Just saying ;)

I'm sure you already know this, but. That little scribble that shows under your selected identifier on the side bar means nothing. I know many who post on here personally, including myself, and we don't hail from where this shows. All I'm saying is,maybe he/she does live in Florissant and indeed has a vested interest in your police dept,ya think?

missed the guy or gal's point. It does make sense to use trained officers as dispatchers and clerks. If something should occur that would require more officers, such as a natural disaster or whatever, those people could be put into action for what was needed. That's what, I think the person was implying.

The main point is why would you need 11 non police personnel for a department the size of St.Peter's? There are almost as many civilians as there are police. The whole point of the OP post was the guy finding fault with the FPD needed to consider his own police department's policies before complaining about another city's.
