I guess all the union robots followed their marching orders and elected another two council members who do not really have Florissants best interests at heart. Now, unfortunately, the Florissant citizens will be the one to pay for the mistakes of those who blindly voted for people because their names were on a list provided to them by their union. We now have a council that has too many members that will blindly follow the lead of a mayor that is more stupid than the union members that blindly voted him and the majority of the council to their elected positions. This may be good for the union, but it is bad for the city and it's residents. Very sad night for those of us who love this city

Why do you have such a problem with me questioning the credentials of the mailman ?

A mailman who spent 35 years as a union representative, many years in Washington and the busines agents office working on arbitrations and contract administration. Probably has more experience in reading and comprehending documents than most of the council. Who cares if he drank a few beers, all of the council likes to drink beer. Its not illegal.

Mr. Henke is a decent gentleman. I don't have a major problem with him as councilman even though I would rather have seen Mr. Stinnett.
I hope Mr. Henke will not be a puppet for this poor excuse for a Mayor. In his heart, I doubt he thinks he will but I can see how he will be far easier to manipulate by the mayor and the mayor is shrewd enough to notice what kind of people he can more easily intimidate.
It is sad that the voters fell for the Mayor's desperate attempts to stack the council in his favor.
I doubt the majority voters knew the facts. Many likely voted for "that friendly mailman guy" or "the guy I seen at the local pubs". That sort of motivation to vote could alone account for the slim margin of victory.
WHo can tell how many more votes were gathered by the Mayor's dirty trick with the last minute mailer that was nothing but dishonest deception used as character assassination against Mr. Stinnett and Grib.
This mayor is unfit for office and I wish there were a way to get the facts out to the voters before the next election.
Congratulations Mr. Henke! I hope you fully grasp the situation and pray you have the courage to resist the Mayor's attempts to manipulate you.

Mailmen ave a good idea of what is going on in the neighborhoods and know what the residents want. Maybe we need more mailmen on the council.

labor has always gotten out and hand billed and done everything they can to support their candidate. i've walked alot of miles for the people i have backed. it's amazing how people sit on their ass and bitch about how things turn out and do nothing. that's why we win.
