Ottawa Hills aims to cull deer herd; safety, nuisance problems cited

An aerial survey performed Jan. 12 counted 76 deer in the village. Officials note that the transient deer follow food and move back and forth across Central Avenue.

I live in the village, and think the plan to pay 30K to have 50 deer culled is rediculous. There has to be a safe way to open hunting up to bowhunters in tree stands for instance, in controlled areas, it would accomplish the same thing without cost to the village.
