Where you came up with lack of quality care i have no idea. That was not what lead to the loss of providers in Lucas. The manner in which those providers were treated by the hospital administration and the head EMS did that. Transition training is not because of complaints and patient care of those providers, who already had a plan in place to receive the training. So were is the substandard treatment of patients and quality of care coming from?
Seriously, step away from the keyboard. You are making yourself look incredibly ignorant. There is nothing good to be gained by your behavior. And before you say it, yes, it is a free country and you CAN say what you want. That doesn't mean it's the right thing to do.

Isn't it funny how so many people have a backbone and can bash people behind the computer screen. Maybe if everyone was this honest all the time issues like this could be avoided.

No one person is to blame and picking out names is only going to stir more problems up.

So in less than three months the County Commissioners are going to have an EMS station set up... This includes a facility, director, employees, policies and procedures, training, etc. The commissioners are keeping their so called "plan" a secret from the community, current operator, and current EMS personnel, but why. It is only hurting the ties they have with both. Why hasnt this plan come out of the dark yet.

I think everybody should be asking the commissioners what their detailed plan is. They can not keep this in the dark. That will only hurt the tax payers of the county.

I do like the truth and I agree about the diarrhea of the mouth. Since you've made about 1/4 of the posts on here, how about you stop?:)

Checking this forum is honestly the highlight of my day. I'd wager that there are six people or less who frequent this thread. A frightening majority of the people here are only doing their best to keep the fight going.

Anne Frankly, this is getting out of hand. This thread used to be funny, a lolocaust, if you will. But now, it's degenerated to nothing but facetious comments. This is getting reichdiculous. I'm fuhrerious about it. I think you all need to take a nice shower and think about the real reason for this thread.

To all of you blind, I find your lack of faith disturbing. It's obvious you do not know the power of the Dark Side. Today will be a day long remembered. It has seen the death of Kenobi, and soon the fall of the rebellion.

The ability to destroy a ems service is insignificant next to the power of the force. Perhaps I can find new ways to motivate the commissioners.

It is too late for me, Adolf. The Emperor Commissioners will show you the true nature of the Force. He is your master now.

You are unwise to lower your defenses! You cannot hide forever, EMS Fan 4.

Alert all commissioners. Calculate every possible destination along their last known trajectory.

What is thy bidding, my master? Tell us commissioners, what is thy plan for the Empire!

What are your Commissioner's responsibilities?
Pass legislation in response to local needs through home rule authority
Approve budget & oversee county finances
Appoint and direct county officers / staff in offices not under another elected official
Adopt personnel policies & pay plans for all county offices
Provide for adequate county government facilities
Establish and maintain county roads
Execute contracts for protection of public health and welfare
Apportion and order tax levies
Determine township boundaries
Make citizen appointments to county boards

I think a hospital-based EMS service has great potential but not this hospital.
Good luck in the county.

Woweeee, I used to live in Russell years ago, moved out of the state and now reside in the Wichita area. I’d heard they had a new ambulance service in town and just happened across this thread and thought I would review. What irony, of course it is not hard to believe knowing who could possibly be holding the reins to this situation and running the behind the scenes show. It appears as though the small town politics have proven to continue to be a travesty, just as they have always been. Same kind of people, same office, with same results, being…..throw whomever‘s vulnerable under the proverbial bus but never having the backbone to accept the responsibility that fall upon their arrogant feet. Everyone is eager to throw around proper, influential verbiage in order win an office and a title but forget about their voice when it comes down to the possibility of being scrutinized and being held responsible for their personal decisions. Really folks……..

I couldn't agree with you more! It appears as though the current commissioners had no specific direction when taking on this endeavor. However, if (and I can't imagine things have changed that much) they as well as the other not so fearless leaders up in the good ol Russell Co. Courthouse, follow suite as to what is not expected from them, but what has, hmmmm, shall we say those in Russell have become accustomed to, then it is no surprise that action was put forth before a plan. Hence forth showing the only thing larger than their ego are their imaginations. It would interest me to know whose innocence was lost to, well as I put it yesterday, the proverbial bus that each of the commissioners as well as their counterparts has become so prophetically agile in driving. Their adroitness in becoming so proficient at such a skill is uncanny, particularly since there appears to be so many other avenues that that desperately require their attention. Perhaps if they would allow their directives to be put forth in a positive nature not just this endeavor but so many other foiled forms of what they may see as lack of ingenuity or ignorance on all (but of course their)parts, perhaps, just perhaps only then could things turn around. Of course, that would take initiative and accountability.

It’s been a while since I’ve been on there, wow, what a bunch of imbeciles they have reclining in the commissioner seats up at the Russell County Courthouse. Seems like there should have been three seats up for repositioning instead of one this past election! On the flip side, guess you know with these folks at work on the job (a term I use loosely) at least you know what you can or cannot count on. It would appear that with individuals whom have such ginormous egos anatomically speaking there would have to be a backbone to hold those egos up, but what do I know about anatomy and physiology, not like I have my doctorate or anything! Still I’ve been exposed enough to know that it is not proportionally ideal to have your head anywhere near your lower extremities for any length of time. Of course that might explain where a lot of their, hmmmm, shall we say……… inadequate may not be the correct verbiage here (but we’ll go with that to keep it clean) ideas come from. Can someone (of course no one appears to watch this anymore) please tell me how there is any sense of respect for any individual who blows into an office, attempts to take charge of something they have no understanding off then have the credence to criticize! Where is all this enthusiasm and confidence they seem to have when being so critical when it comes to taking responsibility for their own short comings? My apologies gentlemen, but, the last man I knew to be perfect does not walk among you, nor does he demand upon something going astray that we come to him with apology more than once. I mean, if the only one whom can truly judge forgives upon asking and judges no more what makes you think you deserve anymore. Or, has the Russell County Commissioners creed all of a sudden taken on the preverbal Obama Administrations stance on life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness? Just sayin, anyway, just a few tidbits that were on my mind this morning as I fluttered through the columns of Russell County.

I'm not sure when you posted this, but, with all due respect, I'm not sure they still know! It's my personal belief that they are in over their head and are looking for someone to lay blame on as God forbid they take any themselves! I'd say get a pair but that may encourage them to go off on a wild goose chase in attempt to decide who got the pair on which day!

Wellllll, coming out of the dark would mean being held accountable, right? Do they not have a procedure for that? If so they don't appear to follow it. Of course if they have constructed it like any of the others, well, here's your sign;O)

Agreed, not any one person is to blame, so, can we pick the top three???? I'm not sure there would be such anonymity in having to intiltrate frusterations here if they would just open up publicly so opinions could be voiced there!
