Arcuri hopes to retain seat in 24th against GOP's Hanna.

Why?

Someone explain how that would be a good thing for the people of District 24.

What exactly has Mike Arcuri done for his constituents?

Give us one...just one legitimitely good reason to vote for him!

According to the Oneonta news article, as of Sept. 30, Arcuri had raised $1,459,529 _ none from himself _ and had $324,217 left to spend. HE HAS SPENT OVER $1,000,000 IN THE HOPES OF DEFEATING SOMEONE WHO HAS NEVER EVEN RUN FOR PUBLIC OFFICE BEFORE.

If that's not worried about something, what is?

Coach Paterno said Boy Phil are you the dimmest bulb in the pack? Nevermind. Coach, Hanna is spending tons of money too. Do you think his signs mailed literature etc. all the stuff other candidates need for a campaign are free. Concerning the campaign, Hanna did go negative first why was that necessary? As a coach I must give you credit however as a Hanna supporter you are the dimmest bulb in the pack. I do hope you go green Coach the florescent bulb is here to stay. Hanna is spending quite a bit. The large signs are at least a yard a piece. You should not insinuate that the Arcuri campaign is the only one spending- Hanna is too and plenty of it.

How much of his own, hard-earned money, has Hanna spent? How much money donated from unions, and coming from outside the district has Arcuri spent? Oh yea, how many Hanna signs are there out there?! wow

George, What does that say about a politician who is looking for the support of his constituents and won't even make one dimes personal financial investment in himself.

He must not believe in his own message.

Unlike Arcuri, much of it is his personal money!

Last count Arcuri has the big "0" of his own money in the game. I guess his out of state PAC's have finally figured out that it's a sinking ship.

So you are telling me that if you could raise $1,000,000 you would choose to spend your own money instead. That is good. Not all of us have a lot of money. Under the current rules Money is a big factor. If it is legal the candidates have the right to spend money. Look at the irs rules that let wealthy people pay less taxes. Sure I wish those rules were not in place, but since they are of course people should use them.

Let's not lose sight of the real issue here. Richard Hanna is a smart, kind, ethical, and brave man who owes nothing to anyone. He will be a solid and unbiased representative who advocates what is best for us in the 24th. Vote Richard Hanna

This is one of the reasons that I voted for Congressman Arcuri:

He is the Democratic Candidate for Congress in this District.

If we fail to send a Democrat to the House, which will be controlled by Democrats, our District will suffer financially.

Cry all you want about pork, but it brings money INTO this area. A powerful Democrat who represents THIS District will bring home MORE money. The taxpayers of this area should get the benefit of the return to the area of as much of the money as possible that they pay in federal taxes.

Even had he been elected, Hanna would not be able to change the system. I doubt that it can be changed. Hanna would have brought less of a return to this District and the already suffering taxpayers of the 24th would've suffered even more.

Daily Horoscope for December 27

Scorpio

If you haven't seen certain people during the past few days, how about inviting them over for a drink or a meal? You're feeling sociable and will enjoy doing some light entertaining although you'll draw the line at anything too strenuous. It's a lovely day for being in familiar surroundings with some familiar faces, even if all you do is flop on the sofa.
