The number of Americans presently on food stamps is astounding.
What does this number of Americans on food stamp indicate about the abilities of the Obama presidency and its administration to manage the affairs of the country.
Isn't this 47 million Americans on food stamps the results of Obama's policies and his attitude towards those Americans who own and run business, those same American business men, whom he considers greedy,Those same business men who provide jobs.
A question to those who voted for Obama, would you keep a president of your company whos policies caused the shuting down of most of your plants and the laying off of a majority of your employees.

“When Bush entered office, 9% of the population was living in poverty; by 2008, that number had swelled to 17%. Under Bush 43, the number of homeless Americans increased 23%. In 2001, unemployment was 4%; by 2008, it had doubled. Under Bush 43, overall monthly job growth was the worst of any cycle since 1945, and household income growth was negative for the first time since tracking began in 1967. In 2001, 17 million Americans received food stamps; by 2008, 48 million were receiving food stamps. Republicans who now deride the Obama stimulus package as “too big” willingly jumped aboard the Bush train wreck claiming tax cuts would create jobs. In fact, only 2 million jobs were created during 8 years of Bush, as compared to 22 million jobs created under Clinton. Thus, republicans equal deficit, and compassionate conservatism is a curl hoax.”

Obama makes Bush look more like a genius each passing day and blunder.

" I asked this Question below and you refused to answer it and I can understand your reluctance to address it given that Obama is president and responsible for the bad economic conditions we presently have. I will ask you again though, maybe you will be more forthright this time and not fall back on the standard liberal democrat reply," Its George Bushes fault." After 3 years of Obama's failed ecomonics, that bird won't fly any longer.
Again, the question to those who voted for Obama, would you keep the president of your company whos policies caused the shuting down of most of your plants and the laying off of a majority of your employees and 'put them on food stamps to feed their families.' Bob Schieffer in a interview with Nancy Pelosi said the following to her:Bob Schieffer to REPRESENTATIVE NANCY PELOSI “We’re talking in kind of a different way, when unemployment went to 5% under George Bush. What you said then, that Americans are struggling with skyrocketing energy prices, gas was only $3 a gas then, and you say this morning this is January 4th, 2008, this morning’s job report confirms what most Americans already knew. President Bush’s economic policies have failed our country’s middle class. I mean, aren’t Republicans entitled to say, you know, if gas was $3 and unemployment was 5% and the President has failed the American people, don’t they have a right to say that this President has failed the American people?”
President George W. Bush,"Faced with a recession when he took office,".... "cut taxes for every federal income taxpayer, which helped set off an unprecedented 52 straight months of job creation."
President Obama spoke of jobs he has created "Shovel-ready jobs which turned out weren't Shovel-ready jobs at all, those-shovel-ready jobs,as it turned out, that he refered to were Burger-flipping jobs at a McDonalds. Way-to- go Obama. Obama isn't worried though, He can always borrow more money from China to pitch at more " Shovel-ready- Jobs," or to pay for more and more families existing on food stamps.

[QUOTE who="just another oswegoanIn 2001, unemployment was 4%; by 2008, it had doubled.[/QUOTE]
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics unemploymentin January 2001 was 4.2%, unemploment in January 2009 was 7.6%.
Under Obama unemployment has gone as high as 10.2% in 2009 as high as 9.8% in 2010 and now in May 2011 still stands at 9.1%.
I assume that just as you believe Bush was responsible for his unemployment numbers that Obama is responsible for his sorry efforts to reduce unemployment?
Obama has wasted trillions of our childrens and grandchildrens dollars and has nothing but higher unemployment numbers to show for it.
He has been a miserable failure.
Lets hope he is just a one term failure.

The Fellowship also has brought controversial figures to Washington, where they have met with U.S. officials either at the prayer breakfast or other venues. Among them are former Salvadoran Gen. Carlos Eugenio Vides Casanova, who in July was found liable by a civil jury in Florida for the torture of thousands of civilians in the 1980s. He was invited to the 1984 prayer breakfast, along with Gen. Gustavo Alvarez Martinez, then the head of the Honduran armed forces. Alvarez, later linked to the CIA and a secret death squad, became an evangelical missionary before he was assassinated in 1989.
Reborn and Rehabilitated: The spectacular Christian rehabilitation of Charles Colson—the man who once advised Richard Nixon to firebomb the Brookings Institution, a liberal think tank—began after Colson's Watergate prison term, with his best-selling conversion narrative, Born Again. His resurgence accelerated as he founded Prison Fellowship Ministries and built it into a $50 million organization that operates in all 50 states and 110 countries. His ministry's success (a University of Pennsylvania study found that graduates of the prison program were 60% less likely to be reincarcerated than was the average con) and his campaign for humane prison conditions helped define compassionate conservatism and served as a model for the faith-based initiatives that Bush favors.

What Anna Nicole Smith stood to inherit was stock in a secretive, NeoCon associate, Koch Industries. Privately held companies cannot be forced to reveal their corporate books by anyone but a stock holder. Anna Nicole Smith could have forced Koch Industries, the company whose stock she inherited, to show her the books if she had been so inclined. Those corporate books are thought to reveal cost plus contracts, unusual treatment by courts and government agencies that normally are charged with protecting the public, and other information that brings into question their relations with the Bush administration.
A Koch presence in Vietnam with Halliburton and the same relationship going on today in Iraq. The bottom line is also purported to show just what Koch Industries will do to avoid accountability for killing people, even American teenagers not yet sucked into wars.
In late 2000 it seemed that some of these corporate policies might be catching up with Koch; they were hit with a 97-count indictment related to a cover up of discharge of more than 15 times the legal limit of benzene, a carcinogen, from a refinery in Corpus Christi, Texas. Koch faced penalties of $350, 000,000.00, according to the Center for Public Integrity.
Koch Industries was hit by the largest judgment for personal liability in history over the incineration of Danielle Smalley and a friend on Aug. 24, 1996. The cause was a defective high-pressure gas pipeline that exploded, taking the lives of the two teenagers. Both were 17. The amount named by the jury was 296 million dollars. Punitive damage awards exist to make it possible to hit those with money and power to act with blatant disregard of others. This although Koch Industries admitted in court it had not properly maintained the lines and had failed to tell the public, according to the site of the attorney representing the Smalleys, Jim Arnold and Associates. Conveniently enough for Koch Industries the Texas court forced a reduction in the award that meant that Danielle's father had to sign a nondisclosure agreement on the amount awarded.
The Smalley case was only one of three hundred spills caused by over six states in the 90s for which Koch Industries was fined according to Planet Ark.
Guess who was governor in Texas at the time? George W. Bush.
In 1992 a wedding took place at Camp David between Doro Bush and Robert Koch. When you notice the names and wonder about the relationship there you find that despite the visibility of the families you cannot discover if Robert Koch is related to the Koch's who founded Koch Industries unless you really dig.
That is the real story. It explains the desperate need to hold on to that inheritance. Sometimes it is the money and sometimes it is hiding the truth. When you bottom line depends on hiding the truth spending money to accomplish that end is just business as usual.
