Not all teams make you put a non refundable deposits down to play on there team. My son has gone thru 9u to 15u with never putting down a deposit. I do agree about the late tryout and the ELITE players being gone.

Great that's all plainfield needs is another travel organization! Not like we have enough... I don't understand why there's more every year..are they trying. To kill the in-house program? I don't want to sound bitter but enough already!

Don't worry mom, I heard their not from here or based here. They're an established travel team from a neighboring town that has changed names..if your son plays football and baseball here you'll find out, that's where I got it from.... go edge ...lol

The word "ELITE" must have new meaning...whoever hasn't been picked and who's parents are still willing to pony up the money can have the dubious honor of making the team. Plainfield needs another travel team like Romeoville needs another hillbilly!

Furthermore it's my understanding that the 14u level team is the old Rattlers Team from Romeoville. Now how does "ELITE", "ROMEOVILLE RATTLERS" and "BASEBALL" belong in the same sentence? That poor team won only 4-5 games all year and severely lacked anything that resembled educated coaching.

New, revamped- who cares. At least they got something right by using professional instructors instead of the typical "daddy ball"-That is what is truly killing inhouse baseball.

All I can say for the coaches is this...they have to carry on what the kids are being taught by instructors.. every instructor has a different way..especially with hitting..and who is to say which one is right it wrong...if your kid is getting results stick with them...my sons 16 and even though his coaches are more than able to teach hitting they encourage. Private lessons its just another day my sons working out...but what has helped is his coaches. Gone to many of the kids lessons. Where they saw. What was being taught and didn't try to change him...results been great for my son and his team

Im so confused. So is it Rattlers or Will County Eiite? From what I heard, the Rattlers reputation isnt't that good. However, they are doing a re-vamp with the instructional time at Fuel and the coaches look pretty good.As long as the kids are having fun, learning and progressing. Everyone deserves a second chance, right? Haven't made a choice yet if my son will play for them but if my son will advance, that's all that matters. I could care less about clicks and politics

Yes, this is the old Rattler organization from Romeoville. The new name and overhall is a direct result of all the problems they have had in the past. The consensus was that they could change their name and absolve themselves of their past problems and misgivings. Unfortunately their is already turmoil in the organization as this change of names was never going to be made public. The co-directors of travel ball are said to be fuming now that this information has come to light.

While I will applaud their efforts to partner with Fuel, that still will not change the fact that their coaching is futile at best and their past performance has indicated that their future results will continue to suffer.

My advice...if you dislike politics and clicks, if you want your child to learn, progress and become ready for high school ball...stay clear of this organization.

Wow, what has happened to travel baseball, my son was at a PAC tryout two weeks ago for the 14u Diamondkings, and there was only 5 boys there.

The said part is my son said three of the boys are already on the team, and that 8 boys quiet the team to play elsewhere. So that makes 2 boys trying out, for 8 spots.

We also went to the 14u Warriors tryout and the same thing only 5 or 6 boys there.

Are these organizations that bad? is the coaching that bad? I thought both of these organizations were good and respected.

Can anyone help ?

Actually the name change is a result of their desire to make a clean brake from Romeoville Pony Baseball, become independant and not have any quarrels over the name rights. So why don't you keep your mouth shut if you don't know what you are talking about. But then again, this is Plainfield and you probably do not have anything better to do than sit around and make stupid comments.

clean brake from Romeoville Pony Baseball ? Please ...we have been ASKING, Begging the Board and the TRAVEL Board for years now to not have the Rattlers play under the Pony Umbrella..i dont understamd why all these plainfield parents are so rude and judge us romeovillans as hillbillies, etc...99% of the Romeoville Pony Baseball and Rattlers reside in Plainfield....and go to Plainfield Schools...so YOU must be the billies

This individual is not in this organization nor will he ever be. I feel extremely bad for this individual for the anger and hate that he has towards others. Focus on the important things in life and not decisions and choices of others that has no impact on you what so ever.

Who's. Nick Lloyd/?? If your referring to my post. I don't even know whi this Guy is? I'm a plainfield resident who played against your organization. You want me to be Frank now I will...I personally witnessed your coaches be extremely harsh on a kid, u personally saw even the parents going crazy on the kids..it might of been their own but who cares...I personally feel like I saw no respect to the kids or to the game the way it should be...think back thru your season and you'll know what game it was and what team I'm from but the parents not. All but most and the coaches were unbelievable ...no place for it in Americas past time..as for this Guy you referred me as..maybe he dies have it right an your the bitter one.
