A Leesburg police detective, and the office staff at Eustis Middle School, helped me when I found an injured bird.

An officer in St. Cloud saw our unsecured bicycles, locked them and was on the way to find the owners to give them the key! Thank you, Sgt. Graham, for consideration.

It's nice to see our police getting credit for the good things they do. All to often we focus on the negative without realizing just how kind many of them really are.

"The president of our women's club is paying her daughter with our club money to do a job that club members have done in the past."

I'm willing to bet the president asked for volunteers to get this done, and everyone was "too busy". See it all the time. Whiners who complain about how something (or everything) is done, but God forbid they actually DO anything.

Altamonte Springs had a speed trap set up in a residential area. Two motorcycles were coming very fast. Then I realized it was two more cops!

I bet you I could name who one of them was. On his time off, he regulars bars and restaurants on 436 and then gets on his Harley after a he's been drinking. Great role model!

I agree. Glad to see the compliments for our police officers for a change.

Wish Altamonte Springs cops would do something about the speeding cars on Maitland Avenue. What's it going to take before you do something? A child killed? We have been asking for help for years.

I agree, they do a lot more than people realize...the only reason it makes news for the bad is because it doesn't happen that often...most of it is something bad out of the area or out of the state even and think about how many officers/deputies/troopers there are.....it is rare that the officer is on the wrong side...no job is perfect proof....bad apples everywhere...but not that many in reality.. I want to say thanks to OPD for the job they are doing, they work hard and are appreciated by an overwhelmingly majority! Thanks!

How about the citizens start obeying the law. The police can't be everywhere every min. I have seen the police motorcycles on Maitland Ave. stopping people, but they can't be there to see every speeder all the time.

Wake up and smell the oilpan. Amreican cars are nowadays multinatinal. Mine was assembled at a Ford plant in Canada and has parts on it made in the USA, China, Taiwan, Japan and Mexico and others.
