This is the train companies fault. There should be a solid wall there so people can't get to the trains!! How sad that a family spent a lifetime raising a kid and that is all the smarter he turned out.:-(

"Train company's fault"?
Huh?
Should we line every street and rail line with fences/walls so people do not have to look out for themselves.
More likely this kid was buzzing or being a wise-as.s.
Who doesn't know not to stick their head in front of a train?

Read the comment, how would people get on the train if there was a wall. It was a "tongue in cheek" comment meant to stir the thought process and awaken a clueless society...I guess one of you woke up.

What was he doing sitting so close to the track? Did the station master not have security watching for situations like this? I hope he will survive, and recover.

Yes, I have the answer, why did this happen? Because stupid is passed from generation to generation, both by genetics and example. AAAAnnnnddd, you can't fix stupid.

People are rude to say hope the train is okay.
Some young boy is in serious condition because of this.It doesn't matter whose fault it was, you all should be praying that he's okay. Stay Strong Chris, WE LOVE YOU!

being his friend maybe you can tell us why he was sitting there, dangling his legs, not watching, when trains do go by there and also why did he not hear the train even "just in time to move"..that is what does not make any sense...I am sorry this happened and hope he will surely be alright but it's just crazy I mean it is like russian roulet!

It's easy to judge a ridiculous scenario like this and I am just as guilty as the next wise-guy to do it. My first thought was who in the hell sits on a train platform, leaning forward and dangles their legs over the tracks? It makes no damn sense at all! But, the truth of the matter is aside from all of that, this is a serious situation and no doubt in my mind it will be a miracle if he pulls through this. Can you imagine being struck in the head with a train? OMG! The thought puts me in chills! I really hope he makes it. I seriously wish him well. PEACE!

Stop! The whole point of publishing the article is to communicate to the general public what happens when your STUPID! His close friends and family know he got hurt, no one else cares they can wait until someone they know does something stupid. Stupid needs to be published to keep other Stupids from doing the same thing. How else can we save the stupids so they can bring more stupids into the world?

If I am the one who is stupid why am I typing here and not taking my meals through a straw? Sorry your friend got hurt but you can't tell me that was not stupid. I've been there many times doing something stupid and should have died, that doesn't make what I did any less stupid.

Maybe if your friend had grown up he wouldn't be in this predicament. And nice choice of language. Profanity just proves how ignorant you are. Your friend was the stupid one here. Doesn't look like you are much better.

Maybe the choice of profanity was chosen because she's so livid she can't believe people these days have no care in the world for anything but themselves. If it were somebody you know, as we do - and we were acting the way you people are you know damn well you'd be saying the same things. Each and every one of you is self-righteous. Everybody is stupid. You'd be a fool to say you haven't done something brainless in your days, if you do - you're a liar.
Oh and by the way - Ignorance would be your sense of general awareness. Not your intelligence.
Take your lack of knowledge elsewhere.
And maybe your karma will come to you when YOU'RE stuck in a coma and we sit here and make fun of you.
You're all about as heartless as they get. Maybe when your mind wanders next time and you get hit by a car, you'll be in the same predicament "taking your meals through a straw", then i'll print this out and slab this on your deathbed.
But then again, I KNOW that everybody are aimless wanderers paying zero attention to their surroundings - so when a tragic situation like this or any other occurs, i have enough heart to hope they live to see another day.
Have a nice life and get some help.
