Did you hear, Hubbard Lake is going to catch up to modern day USA. Starting this spring Charter Communications will be providing telephone service in Hubbard Lake, as well as their Cable and Internet services they already provide. You will be able to add your phone service, unlimited local and long distance, for a couple bucks in most cases. When will Charter Communications provide cable service to the south west shore residents? Cable should be available to all homes on the lake.

Hay I just hooked to Vondage for $14,99 Mo 500 Minutes and so far its one of the smartest moves I've made. Give me Vondage cable tv and Im gone,

Vonage can not operate with out a cable company providing the base service, for customers with out high speed internet, vonage would be a terrible choice. How would you justify the added expence of adding high speed internet just to get low cost phone? Besides Charter phone service is $14.99 a month right now, that is with unlimited local and long distance. And for customers that have cable with charter, or cable and internet, they can add phone and get a bundle price saving money on their other services as well. Dish customers really need to get in on this deal, they can get all three services for what most of them pay just for their satellite.

Sounds good for now but we experienced the same thing. low cost entry and now with digital basic will go from $15 to $57 a month with all the PEG cannels in the 900 range. It's run amuck and local municipalities are losing frachise fees and are being denied the power to regulate pricing localy. But I am still a customer. For how long? till they price themselves out of it.

DSL from Verizon $16.99--- 500 minutes w/all extras and long distance including taxes and 911 $19.33 mo honest---

That may be the case in IL, but Verizon is not giving those kind of price breaks around here. My dad can't get cable, lives out in the woods, and he is stuck paying $74 a month with just the long distance package charges, not counting the minutes. Right now Charter can lock you in for two years with a bundeled package to include Cable, internet, and phone as low as $109.97 for all three.
