I would like to know what people think about TruGreen ChemLawn lawn spraying and if it works for yards in Oscoda...am thinking about having my yard sprayed and wanted to know favorable and unfavorable comments about this procedure and how their lawns looked after they had a few treatments...does it kill weeds...does it help or make lawns worse?...

Looks as though you should avoid that company and product at all costs:

Most of the people on this board say that it killed off most of their yard.

Thanks for your input...sounds like this company is not what it portrays itself to be...will be very cautious when dealing with them if I decide to go ahead and have my lawn sprayed...I noticed that quite a few people in Oscoda use the Chemlawn service...and their lawns look nice...but wonder if they are also doing some lawn care on their own along with Chemlawn lawn spraying to help make their lawns look so nice...

I can say that the 4 guys that work out of the oscoda branch are great guys and will work with their customers one on one. Talk with your lawn specialist personally. You and him are the only ones who see your lawn and know what is going on with it. It cannot be diagnosed over the phone. If you must call the office, leave a message for your specialist to give you a call.

Besides Oscoda Girl, yours is the only other name I see here. Please clarify! Stay out of things you know nothing about. Don't use other peoples comments and posts from somewhere else to put out as your own.
All though I don't condone most of the companies practices, I do support each employees integrity, they also work around the company itself and work with the customer to do the right thing. You may be able to criticize the company but don't criticize the workers.

Wiz, you seem awfully invested in this issue. Are you one of the 4 guys that work out of the oscoda branch? I don't see where any employee's integrity has been impuned. You even say "I don't condone most of the companies practices" so you must have some intimate knowledge of the company. Did you just stumble onto this thread? The last comment was made almost 2 months ago.

Com'on Watcher lawn care season is nearing an end, Wiz has some free time on his hands, Coincidence?
So he thought he'd correct a few inconsistencies here that other people made and his own experience hiring this company ;).

We used Chemlawn once and they killed our front yard. They weren't expert nor did they know what to look for in maintaining a lawn. If they had taken a plug of grass before just spraying, we probably could have saved our yard and treated it the proper way.

I'm only an idiot in your opinion. Oscoda girl asked about Trugreen in this area. I offered my opinion, that is all. I could care less about the rest of the country-They ain't servicing my lawn-Oscoda is. Those opinion boards don't amount to squat in my opinion. No matter what company you look up you are going to find negative feedback. I looked up my company and found all sorts of crap on it and I probably could do the same with yours. Now there is no call for name calling. You voiced an opinion and so did I. Opinions are like A$$***es, Everybody has one. Now you moved away to another state so why do you even care about our town in the first place, obviously you weren't happy here so you had to split. Now that is just another of my opinions, If I offend you it's because I intended too. So from one IDIOT to another IDIOT-Have a wonderful day!

Watcher and Tawas Guy-To answer your questions; NO I am not one of the employees there. I am however good friends with one of them and have had their service for some time now. I have had my problems with the company from time to time but these guys will work with me to correct any problems or mistakes they may have made. It don't matter who you hire for any particular job, mistakes can and will happen,Just because of a few jerks out there is not a reason to persecute everyone. One guy ther has 12 years and another one has 7 or 8 and both of them are very knowledgable, I can't speak about the other 2 as they are both fairly new guys in the past couple years. They do me right so I stick by them, that's all!

I was with TruGreen Chemlawn for 2 months...the gentleman that sprayed my lawn was very knowledgeable and very courteous...whenever I called the main office or the local office they were always courteous, friendly, and took care of my concerns...my lawn needed a lot of work and since it isn't my house or lawn...renting...decided not to pay for any more treatments...too expensive...if this was my house I would have done whatever was needed and paid the price...but my lawn basically needed a total do over it was that bad...especially the back yard...I might decide to try and take care of it myself by going to Walmarts and doing the lawn care bit by bit...just enough to get rid of the weeds and have the lawn look half way decent...
The company in of itself is very good at what they do, very helpful, a bit expensive yes but time is money and as you get older you can't always do things yourself...I can't see putting that much money into a lawn unless you are going to be in a house for a long period of time...or it's your house...so no problems with the company at all...just thought people should know...ask for a Mr. Martin... I believe his name was...to spray your lawn...he does a very good job...he's from the Oscoda TruGreen Chemlawn office...and no I don't work there or know anyone other than whom I talked to or who sprayed my lawn...just another customer...
