Houses overpriced in Tawas area

Is it just me, or are the houses for sale in this area overpriced? People need to realize the economy has changed. Nobody's going to offer you $75k for a 1000sqft house with no yard, no basement, and no garage.

Yeah it sucks, but no one wants to sell at a loss right now. So everyone is kind of stuck.

No offense Michael, but I have now dealt with 6 different realtors in different locations for different reasons - not one of them was worth spit.

In one case, we found the house and negotiated the deal, the house was even in the realtor's multi-list - it just was for less than what he wanted us to see (always steered us to properties higher than what we told him was our limit). The he wanted his commission. I told him to sue us. Nevfer heard boo from him.

All the others were either plainly incompetent, inexperienced or downright crooked and sleasy.

I don't deal with realtors if I have a choice.

I got lucky with my last realtor, but I must agree they are usually looking out for their commission as opposed to helping the client.

The complexity of realty laws forces also drives up the cost of home prices. We should simplify the laws and just get rid of realtors.

There's some decent realtors in Oscoda, you just have to look. They have their uses.
