Italian would be great. We don't have a restuarant that serves great Itaian food. (Although I love it, Pizza isn't Italian, and it gets a little boring as a regular meal)

Red Lobster---Hands Down. However, again, food is involved. We need a Lowes or a Home Depot to go with that Red Lobster. Why not put some Outlet Malls around here?

We could start out with a mini mall. Theres plenty of space and parking on the base land.

A Home Depot would be great.

Something on the order of Staples for school and office supplies. We have several car product stores but, maybe, another known Auto maintenance garage such as Midas Muffler? And what ever happened to Speedy Print?

Yes, we do have several restuarants here, but I would like to see a variety of them. Something out of the ordinary. One or two that could offer a variety of meals on the non-boring list. Taits Bill of Fare is fantastic, but to eat there on a regular basis, especially if you have a large family, could get quite costly.(Though the prices at Taits are fare for the quality of food and the fine service)

I could go on and on, but I won't. It IS fun to dream, though, isn't it?

I would like to see one of the local bookstores (since I probably can't have my dream of a Barnes and Nobles next door to me) put in a cafe where a person can browse and have a cup of expresso or latte and read (and dream of course). I would live there! Another dream? Having a Home Depot or Menards come in. Red Lobster is fine except it is costly too. I'm not so much for the regular franchise places but I wouldn't mind a place where you could order light fare and listen to a piano or jazz band (not just special occasions but where it is a standard in that restaurant). Another dream? A place where the youth can listen to music, dance, order good for you but tasty food, play video games and if they need it; get help with their studies and have some really good mentors on hand. "ZZZZZZZ.....what I have to wake up? It was only a dream? I'm in Oscoda?" Well, a girl can dream can't she?

None of the above. They are all just fast food joints. I would like to see a good mom & pop steak house. Someplace where the food is cooked, not prepared in some factory and shipped frozen.

Even a mom & pops meat is frozen for a period of time as well. Not as fresh as u think. They have to keep a large amount of stuff for busy times and it's not always the same day. So they become fast food as well. Worked in a couple places and it's all the same! Just deferent ways of doing things. Once a week is the freshest shipping mostly Thursday's. Olive garden outback steakhouse fudruckers china max habachiese it's a nice japanese resteraunt

Restaurant? What the area needs is another auto parts store. Wait, another one is being built in front of Walmart in Tawas. Thank God!

Hopefully the Pack House will reopen next year and offer something of an upscale menu.

STARBUCKS! I know it's not really a restaurant, but the food they have is good, and it's a nice atmosphere.
