When are these organized religions going to treat GLBT people with the same love that God has for them? We are all children of God after all, and thus equal in His eyes. When will this hypocrisy cease? I encourage loving Christians everywhere to reach out in support of them and to pray for their acceptance as equals.

What I dont understand is why you would elect to join a church knowing that their doctrine goes against you.

Christian's don't judge...God does.
Christian's make people aware of what is written in the Bible to people who can't, won't or refuse to read the word of God.
If Christian's lie, then we are in violation of God's law.

Rev. Amy DeLong... "We don't have to earn our way into God's heart. We've already been accepted."

According to what Bible? Did they write their own... new one?

"We don't have to earn our way into God's heart. We've already been accepted."

I'd be a litle careful of assuming what God accepts and doesn't accept.

Someone asked John Calvin if they had done the right thing with Calvinism...his response was, "We'll know after we die." You might want to take this into consideration.

According to every Bible you would pick up. God died on the cross for us, all we have to do is follow the commandments.

Hey-hey-ho-ho, the lesbian preacher has to go! If she wants to do her own thing, let her start her own GBLT(Guacamole, bacon, lettuce, tomato) church. We're all getting a little tired of these people asking us to change the rules so they can be in our clubs, churches, etc. It's a free country! Start your own and leave us alone!

I thought Jesus died on the cross? God just let it happen.

God loves murderers and thieves, too. But that doesn't mean they don't need to change. The same thing applies to practicing, unrepentant homosexuals. God loves all of us but calls us to repent from our sins. The tragedy is churches condoning of sin whatever it is.

Just like he said to the woman caught in adultery who was about to be executed, "go and sin no more."

Yes, Jesus died on the cross, but I wouldn't say that God "just let it happen." Jesus, God, and the Holy Spirit are one in a way our human minds do not comprehend.

God does love everyone, but he also allows humans to have free will and we must choose to follow Him. He gives us rules to follow from the rule book - the Bible. God created a flood to wipe out the earth due to the rampant sin and saved a limited number of people who chose to believe Him.

The Bible is full of people who made mistakes and turned away from God. These are the choices God allows us to make. We can choose to follow Him or we can turn away. If you pick and choose what rules to follow based on what you feel is right, you are deceiving yourself and following the devil.

Since when has it become OK to pick and choose those Scriptures we agree or disagree with? Last time I read the Bible in the old and new covenants both express explicitly that homosexual conduct is sinful and will disallow one entrance into heaven. 1 Cor 6:9 says that active or passive homosexuals will not inherit the kingdom of God. Lev 20:13 says it wrong for two men to go to bed together as a man does with a woman. What part of these verses don't you all understand? We know and understand it is wrong to murder someone yet we try to convince ourselves and others that because even though we're homosexuals God will forgive us because we "love each other". Not acorrding to the Bible you do. We are told that all have fallen short of God's standards(even this heterosexual) but we have been given a way out from temptation and that is a personal relationship with God and obeying His Word even if we disagree with Him. He will one day have His final say so shouldn't we live like it?
We have been picking and choosing which scriptures to agree or disagree with for centuries - do we currently put people to death for violating the sabbath? Do we force a raped woman to marry the man who raped her? Do we keep slaves?

Pastor Amy was the best pastor our church had ever seen. I don't care about her sexual preference. It did not affect the compassion, generosity and ability to care for the members of our church congregation. I understand the bible does not condone homosexuality. HOWEVER the bible also states that GOD is the one to pass judgement-not us. I will leave that to him and will always consider Pastor Amy to be the best Pastor and leader of our church when she was at our chuch!
