Known throughout the horse industry as "Slaughterhouse Sue" Ms. Wallis has an agenda Rockville will not like. She forms internet LLC's for $100 or so and gives herself a fancy title. There is no staff except maybe her husband and 7 kids but she wants to be known as the CEO, President, COO, Chairman. Folks it's a ruse. She claims to speak for the horse industry yet doesn't own any and most of the industry actually loathe her for her tactics and ludecrous claims. Number 1...it's almost impossible to humanely kill a horse. They use a captive bolt and often have to hit the animal 8 or 9 times because of the horses instinct to flee. Still most of the horses are only stunned and wake up while they are literally being butchered alive. Number 2...The meat is Toxic. Horses in the US are given vaccines, pain killers i.e. Bute, and de-wormer's that are toxic in the meat and make it unfit for human consumption. Ingesting this meat will make you quite ill or even kill you. Even the major market in Europe has now banned US horsemeat for just this reason. Number 3...Legislation is in both houses of congress to end this barbaric practice altogether in this country. Now what could you expect should you decide not to head my warning? Take a look at what happened to Kaufman, Texas http://www.forbes.com/sites/vickeryeckhoff/20...

I'm going to rent 2 billboards on 71 highway, one on the north and one on the south edge of the county, reading, " welcome to Bates County, home to the only horse slaughter facility in America". After all since they're so proud of this facility coming to their county, I'll help out all I can.

Cindy Macpherson can do whatever she wants. Its not in MG anymore so she has absolutely 0 clout. Just another washed up small town attorney that couldnt hack it with the big boys. And if she continues to keep pushing I have a feeling people are going to start pushing back. Cindy hasnt mentioned how much business she lost after her escapades in MG did she? I just wander why none of you have anything to say about your precious PETA organization? www.petakillsanimals.com None of you have any common sense, this is just another reason America is the laughing stock of the world right now. The above statement about the meat being banned is an outright lie as well. Enjoy your welfare checks losers and let the farmers keep farming and slaughtering animals like they have for the last 500 or more years so you dont starve idiots. Welfare low class losers.

Real horse owner also, seriously you believe anything from the past is going to change? Nothing I have heard from her shows anything.

Now she says there will be cameras to prevent stolen horses, how is this going to work, will she stand over each employee to make sure that they do the job right? Doubt it she will be back home.

What data base will she check? Will they take calls and emails or ignore them?

The main thing you have to worry about is loss of tourism and fishing, what flows down the river accidently and cause a major problem for those who depend on the lakes will be on the heads of Rockville.

Remember she is a politician and has it in the writings that they are not to get the high dollar lawsuits. And if you eat and get sick or terminal illness from it or decide it is still a good thing for your community and you get damage you shall never be able to sue anyone, it was your own doing.

You have been warned about the toxicity of the meat dear and if someone dies the blame also goes back to you just not in a lawsuit kind of way.

Does Rockville have deep pockets? If you look at the other disaster you will see it was the tax payer who paid for the damages are you willing to give money to get the lawsuits paid off, buy up the houses when people leave?

Road repairs from the heavy trucks? You think the tax payer will put up with that for long? They are diamond cutting now they don't have the money to fix these ratty roads.

Enjoy the smells and eco destruction then.

We decided not to stay in this area anymore, we were looking for a farm here but blame Wallis and her Pro crew.

I want as far away from this as possible and as a tax payer I resent having to pay for her to destroy the area and giving us the finger when she is done destroying it. I think only Pro slaughter folks should pay the taxes for it not those who knows what will happen. So sad a nice area too could have been quite the lake home front paradise.(we rent right now)

At least the lazy un-working citizens of Grove got another business out of the town. Just another reason to stay home and live off the government and the taxes I pay and other WORKERS pay.

You were on here saying that same thing when they were wanting to come to MG. Ok, we get the idea, you're not going to stay in this area anymore. Why should anyone care if you stay in the area? Are you somehow special? Actually I never decided if I was for or against the place, this area has far greater problems to deal with, namely the three stooges. Again, why should we care if you stay in the area or not?

Months go you said you were leaving the area. So why are you still here? It's not that difficult to pack and leave, especially since you apparently have the financial resources to just leave the area over a little thing like a horse slaughter plant. People need to realize that horses are livestock.

And if someone took something from you I bet you are the type of people who would be in the law's face demanding justice.

Seriously you need to look at the prior damage that these places caused, you want the job fine that is your decision, you want the plant fine but don't ask for one dime in bailout when it all goes to hell you have been warned!

My job is not an easy one but hell it pays better than that plant will I can guarantee you that!

Your name,go put your application in if you can pass a background check that is. We just want the community to see there is a bad side of this and that the people will not get them out of it.

Homes are being looked at and no financially this was not what we planned to do so soon. But I don't want to smell that everyday. I feel for those who can't get away from it. How horrid.

I think that you're being a little over dramatic. MG didn't want the plant, they didn't get the plant. Apparently Rockville wanted the plant and they got it. Maybe you can start a horse rescue mission if you want to save the horses. I know horses can be viewed as pets, I understand that, but they are livestock. If you dont want your horse put to death that way, then dont let it be done. If you dont want other horses put to death that way, then start a rescue mission for horses.

If you live in this area then you have to smell city hall everyday. It can't be any worse then the smell that bunch denerates. Charlies parents are in town and they emit an especially foul odor. Charlie himself reeks so badly that we can smell him all the way from Nebraska. That odor was breed into him by his parents.
