sounds to me like they need to hire drivers for these trucks,if they are wrecking like that they dont know what they are doing and need to get another profession.

people need to stop thinking they can beat the big trucks. those trucks are loaded and can not stop as quick as a car can. it is not always the big trucks fault. this is a farming area and everyone knows those trucks are on the roads. so just don't pull out in front of one.

I agree about watching out for the large trucks. Give them plenty of room when they pull out. I'd rather be alive then trying to beat one of them. Just be careful an mindful of your circumstances.

Why is it that local, County and State law enforcement groups seem to "overlook" the infractions of traffic and vehicle regulations by farmers during harvest time. Sure timing and weather have a lot to do with the success of the harvest, at what cost. Two small children and a young mother having their father/husband taken from them is an unacceptable price to pay for "the harvest". We need the same interest being shown by law enforcement towards harvest activities on our public roadways as is shown on a weekend evenings on theses roads. These roadways are not farm roads they are county and state roadways and the rules of the road must be the same for everyone - ALL THE TIME!!

All deaths are unacceptable. And his is hard leaving such a young family. But nothing is being overlooked. There is an investigation into the wreck. Farm trucks are not overlooked. By far they are checked on much more than vehicles for regulations. Most of the time the trucks are up to par. Not all the wrecks are caused by the farm trucks. One of the wrecks in Manila was caused by a car pulling out in front of a farm truck and the truck took the ditch.

Farm trucks or any big trucks can't stop like a car can. But people pull out in front of them all the time. I'm just saying you can't always say it's the trucks fault. It is a shame for the family to have to go through such a tragedy.
