I just got from good authority that Julie had most of the write-in votes. She actually won, it's just taking a while for the Press to post it because the Republican are forcing a recount. I imagine they are going to try to get any with hanging chads thrown out. Hanging bobs and hanging susans might be okay, but those chads have got to go.

Why, "Truth" would you post this when you have no idea of the truth you are writing about? You know, these are serious posts and should be considered the truth when posted. Don't know, just childish behavior.

The truth is that this election, like all elections, includes votes cast by voting machines on election day, by paper ballots on election day and votes cast by absentee ballot which have to be mailed in. The absentees can't be counted until at least a week after the election to allow for those postmarked by the due date to arrive at the board of elections. The absentees in this year's election will be opened and counted later this week. The republicans aren't holding things up. The democrats aren't holding things up. It is what it is. Hopefully, by the end of the week there will be a clear winner in the DA's race.

Thank you for your clarification. I do not understand why people are possessed to post such items are "truth" posted. Only to start rumors or trouble. When I worked electionS an election worker from E'Town would bring absentee ballots into the districts and we counted them the same time we counted the votes from the machines. The absentee votes you refer to must be those mailed in. I understand what you posting and it is the TRUTH. Thank you.
Thank you adagio

It is what it is! You won't know till the ballots are opened. That will decide the DA race.

You're right, the absentee votes are mailed in and counted later at the board of elections. I don't know what "truth" said but I agree with you.. This is not a forum to start rumors on. I enjoy engaging in good conversation and look forward to responding with someone who has half a brain. I don't always agree, but at least we can exchange our views, that's good.

I posted it on Topix, therefore it must be true. Don't call me a liar, I know for a fact that everything posted on this site is factual. And if you utilize this site for real information, you are an idiot. That's the Truth!

they don't count absentee ballots that way now...besides everything was handled a little differently this time due to the Special Election, we may know tomorrow night but I think it might be Thursday,(Wednesday's Veterans Day).

The earliest we will know is Thursday but most likely Friday. They haven't opened the votes yet. That starts on Thursday. It could even go into next Monday because they have to a lot to open. There will probably be lawyers for both sides questioning every ballot and that will take a lot of time.

I'm sorry.....

When I used to vote by absentee ballot, the "Official Reports" were not even mde public until ALL THE BALLOTS WERE COUNTED, especially the absentee ones.

Keep in mind that a majority of the absentee ballots are people serving in the Armed Forces.

FOR THEIR SAKES, A big thank-you AND.... Let's not make any comments until THESE BALLOTS ARE COUNTED.

Fair is Fair and Right is Right.

Let's wait.

Daily Horoscope for January 5

Aries

There is minor evil around today, whether it is harsh words or actions. Relationships with non spiritual people will tend to be abrasive, as you come to understand that such people can never be trusted, for their agenda is not love. Beware of criticism from colleagues or friends. Avoid being narrow minded and confining your views to the conventional. You may want to argue with everyone and everything, but beware of devouring your own energy in the process.
