I'm sure none of the casino gamblers will do something like this.

it must be a pretty small world for you to live in with your small mind to even think that everyone that goes to a casino is a common thief and criminal. I pity you and think you a re pathetic...... don't paint with such a broad brush, tyou can't stay in the lines that way and it makes you look sloppy !!!!

This is exactly the kind of problems you'd be hearing about more often if we had a casino. This is only one reason so many people are against a casino in Gettysburg.

You say that this is the type of thing that will happen if you get a casino in Gettysburg. That is rather short sighted. If that is the case, people a lot smarter than you would already be taking the money to other casinos. Since I haven't seen headlines plastered all over the paper that this is happening, it must not be something that is common place for casinos. Some people will do anything to try to scare people into believing that a casino in the area will cause all sorts of problems. These are the same people that are complaining that their taxes are high, too many people unemployed, etc. It's about time that people start thinking for themselves instead of allowing people to continue to scare them into agreeing with them.

So if we get a casino in Gettysburg more people will forge checks and buy lottery tickets? ET phone home, break out your tin foil hat and stand by the curb, you need help.

The Evening Sun or Police did not mention the winning %. I'm sure everyone is think about this, how tickets did she buy with 29,000. how many winners, loser. What was the biggest pot, we know she did not win a million we would have heard. Every body would want the chance to spend that much money on lottery tickets, just to see how much you could win. Lets see if we can find out.

You cannot buy lottery with checks, so did she purchase items from Giant, then get cash back?? You can only get a small amount of cash back, 100 I believe.

Dam shame, she could have just lost her money in Mr.LaVan's Casino instead of gambling it on State lottery tickets.

Just a dam shame.

Hey, you know how you lose $2000.00 at a $2.00 blackjack table?

This woman didn't need a casino. She used a State Sponsored Lottery Machine to gamble. Until you are ready to give up the state revenue from that and have your taxes raised to make up the budget shortfalls then maybe you should just sit down and be quiet.

She didn't win that much money as I work at Giant and knew her ,well not as good as I thought. But she would drop 50 -100 dollars every night and to answer someones question on a check you can only get back 25$ at a time.I know she did win $1000 several times or so she said.Point is a crime is a crime and gambling is a sickness so what do you do but try to make sure restitution is made. But trust lost is never recovered.
